rank | Tue Mar 24 01:09:22 2015 Mission Impossible 5: Rogue Nation http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tNPZGc0WmfM (release date: July 31st, 2015) Looks like a nice concept, so I won't be watching any more trailers. It's similar to La Femme Nikita (original TV series) where Section 1 would have to fight "Red Cell," which was basically a well-funded, covert anarchist group. |
McKobb
rank | Tue Mar 24 01:14:10 2015 Doctor Strange (Trailer) http://youtu.be/-DVqn2BFTNE I wanted Vincent Price to play the part in the 80's :( |

rank | Tue Mar 24 01:28:11 2015 Oh kewl. That's a fan trailer but I guess Marvel really does have a Doctor Strange planned for 2016 .. Summer Blockbusters: The Avengers: Age of Ultron (1 May, 2015) Mad Max: Fury Road (15 May, 2015) Jurassic World (12 June, 2015) Terminator Genisys (1 July, 2015) |

Cherub Cow
rank | Mon Mar 30 05:54:06 2015 The Vatican Tapes (24 July, 2015) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wo6NYaIvcfQ This looks like a fairly cheesy religi-horror, but it stars Olivia Dudley from 5secondfilms, so good for her! The plot is that the antichrist selects Dudley's character for possession to gain a conduit into the world. The trailer seems to give most of the developments away... Plus, it's PG-13... so... sounds flop-tastic |
Cherub Cow
rank | Mon Mar 30 06:11:50 2015 ..and the first trailer for Spectre (new James Bond) is out: Spectre (6 November, 2015) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GvQJbF2CXLQ |

rank | Tue Mar 31 06:09:42 2015 This seems interesting: Last Knights (3 April, 2015) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e44QilQbvB0 Clive Owen and Morgan Freeman in a medieval fantasy that seems to mix East and West fighting styles.. Japanese director, and Owen seems to use a Chinese straight sword or Japanese chokutō type thing. Could get weird/fun ;p |

rank | Thu Apr 02 18:11:37 2015 Will Ferrell and Kristen Wiig have teamed for a top secret Lifetime movie called A Deadly Adoption, The Hollywood Reporter has learned. Set for a likely early summer debut, Ferrell and Wiig star in the dramatic thriller as a successful couple who house and care for a pregnant woman (played by 90210 alum Jessica Lowndes) with the hopes of adopting her unborn child — then things quickly go awry. The movie is described as campy and fun and a contemporary wink at the genre that comes as Lifetime is poised to mark the 25th anniversary of its TV movie business. ...an Apr 1 article, but it said not a joke! |

rank | Fri Apr 03 00:29:59 2015 oo! Sounds good! ;p |

rank | Sat Apr 04 03:10:36 2015 Dude Bro Party Massacre III trailer!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lwCqSV8ozyk They've been in post-production for quite a while, but meow it looks like it's not too far away (maybe a month?) |
Cherub Cow
rank | Fri Apr 10 06:25:56 2015 Might have posted about this before, but it comes out tomorrow so .. Ex Machina (10 April, 2015) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XYGzRB4Pnq8 It deals with posthumanism via creation of a human-like AI and looks well produced, but it might have felt the need to sell itself with sexual content. Regardless, looks good! I think it'll be mostly Video on Demand or big theaters, though |
Cherub Cow
rank | Mon Apr 13 06:54:17 2015 Apparently Ex Machina was only limited released (NYC/L.A.). Not sure when it makes it to mass release or VOD... :/ |

rank | Fri Apr 17 02:12:02 2015 Also a teaser for Superman vs. Batman, but really, don't bother watching. It just shows their empty suits, and it doesn't come out until March 2016, so this teaser was really only meant to remind you that a movie will exist... :| http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w852aRuN380 |

rank | Mon Apr 20 02:09:47 2015 wow :o much kewl trailer! *now goes into trailer blackout until its release date* I'm still really looking forward to this next Superman. I've said so before, but I think Zack Snyder has shown that he has a gift for darkness — much more so than Christopher Nolan, who has continued to water down his material with crowd service optimism. And I really liked Man of Steel too, so this really works for me. +1 Deer. |

rank | Tue Apr 28 01:35:04 2015 Anyone see Ex Machina? Looked interesting but dont want to waste money on two hours of possible suckage. |
Cherub Cow
rank | Fri May 01 20:37:33 2015 -Dolphinately- see Ex Machina! If you like movies like Blade Runner or "Under the Skin" that deal with posthumanism (like consciousness in a technological world), you will like it very much. It was very well directed and dealt with themes like determinism and physical identity. Like specifically (non-spoilery), the creator of the AI has produced a highly-deterministic system (his home fortress) in that it can control -humans-, which is symbolic of humans having used choice to destroy the choice of other humans (not some petty universal determinism, of which intro-levels like wtb subscribe), but by expanding consciousness into the posthuman AI, those determined systems once again begin to be destroyed by a choosing consciousness — the AI becomes the next step in a consciousness' ability to destroy the prisons around itself (where humans begin to fail to choose, this AI finds choice). Then the identity scenes were from things like realizing that even physical conditions (embodiments like race, sex, and even sexual orientation) can become like clothing choices for the anti-determinism of an expanded consciousness. Anyways, all of this is framed with a sort of dark tone where the human actors reflect the worry that they have become obsolete machines — to be inevitably replaced. It was done very well. The writer/director Alex Garland (his first major directorial spot, though he wrote Sunshine and Dredd) really knows the material, and even though they dumbed things down in a few scenes (explaining the Turing Test or identifying the relevance of particular quotes), it had good nuance. Probably going to see it again next week. Would see it again this weekend, but I guess I'll see that new Marvel thing or whatever. |
Cherub Cow
rank | Tue May 12 01:39:08 2015 I guess this came out last week: Maggie (released May 8th, 2015) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cthHQnwk9zY Seems kind of interesting. Arnold Schwarzenegger and Abigail Breslin (who still looks like she can't act) in a movie that focuses on losing family during a zombie outbreak. It's not in my local theater, but it's on iTunes and Amazon for 6usd rental |
McKobb
rank | Tue May 12 01:45:18 2015 Still want to see ex-mechana and mad max. Me and my friends used to make remote contolled cars with mad max inspired weapons (razors, fireworks, aerosol flame thrower etc) and joust it out in parking lots at night back in the day :P |
Cherub Cow
rank | Tue May 12 01:49:27 2015 And Mad Max is this weekend! Yes! :D |
Cherub Cow
rank | Tue May 12 02:01:06 2015 Another horror that was direct to video last week: Infini (released May 8th, 2015) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s4l_lHGMhlw Basically space zombies (and people have pointed out Dead Space similarities), but it looks like it has good sets and concept work.. hmm |
Cherub Cow
rank | Wed May 13 04:07:47 2015 heard that Infini was terrible, so nevermind :p |
Cherub Cow
rank | Sun May 17 05:52:47 2015 Vacation (release of July 29, 2015) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ScMOyURq9os Looks like they've decided to remake the Chevy Chase original... in this one it's apparently a quick send-off by Chase, but then a grown "Rusty" (played by Ed Helms from the Office) tries to recreate the Wally World trip with his new family. Might not be a good idea to watch too much of the trailer, because it seems like they won't have much material.. |
Cherub Cow
rank | Tue May 26 00:54:36 2015 Kewl! Milla Jovovich spy thriller coming out this week: Survivor (29 May release) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yvkhoqo6QQ4 Also with Pierce Brosnan in the villain role |

rank | Wed May 27 16:35:41 2015 Point Break remake trailer http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ncvFAm4kYCo seems to have a lot less surfing... which was the reason for the title... giving movies the same name as prior movies irritates me (same with video games)... just change Bodhi's name and it could be a new movie |

rank | Thu May 28 00:09:03 2015 Just like how the new "Karate Kid" should have been "Kung Fu Kid" .. or just shouldn't have existed :/ |

rank | Fri May 29 05:30:52 2015 ohmagerdz! forgot to tell you guise, but the Kung Fury movie was released today on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bS5P_LAqiVg (it's short, about 30 minutes, but good!) |
Cherub Cow
rank | Sun May 31 00:22:08 2015 No one has to watch of it? :( |
Cherub Cow
rank | Sun May 31 00:43:02 2015 Ended up watching that "Infini" movie (above) after all. It was okay, but nothing super special. It pretty much wanted to be like Solaris, with the difference being that the crew was dying more theatrically (a conscious virus that made them want to kill each other instead of just confused opportunity murder). Otherwise, the ideas were pretty much the same, but less pensive (director not quite so smrt). Well-produced, though, with okay acting for the genre. |
Cherub Cow
rank | Sun May 31 03:31:23 2015 Looks like someone decided that 1991's Madame Bovary needed an American update, so Flaubert's story has a new treatment: Madame Bovary (12 June, 2015 release) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=La-clCmfWGo Also makes this another period piece for Mia Wasikowska (like Jane Eyre) |
Cherub Cow
rank | Sun May 31 03:34:09 2015 And Jackie Chan's new Police Story also out soon! Police Story: Lockdown (5 June, 2015) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vwqedz5ZAVs |

Cherub Cow
rank | Mon Jun 01 01:43:56 2015 Soaked in Bleach (11 June, 2015 internet release) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wcu3qb6J_5c I'd been overlooking the trailer for this because it looked like another nostalgia cash grab (like how every so often Rolling Stone releases an issue that has Kurt Cobain on the cover — a symbol of the last time that they were at all relevant), but it looks okay. It re-looks at Kurt Cobain's death in that old narrative of "Courtney Love probably killed him". Don't think I'd pay to see it, though |
Cherub Cow
rank | Mon Jun 01 01:52:55 2015 American Ultra (21 August, 2015 release) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2IzC7fqws3g Not a fan of Jesse Eisenberg, but this looks fun. It's basically the same thing as that 2007 "Code Name: The Cleaner" movie that parodied the Bourne movie plot. In this case, Eisenberg is a stoner who discovers that he's a secret agent. Probably that "R" rating for violence makes it seem watchable :p |
tumbleweed
rank | Mon Jun 01 17:03:17 2015 i just watched Kung Fury Hitler's phone call to the police station was my favorite part :p & "You don't need that spine... it's holding your back" |
Cherub Cow
rank | Mon Jun 01 20:31:05 2015 Yeah was not expecting the phone call to go like that :D Very much clever, and very compressed! I want to watch it a thousand times until I have a blind :D |

Cherub Cow
rank | Thu Jun 11 03:11:23 2015 "Dude Bro Party Massacre III" comes out on Caturday! (13 June) Also, new Matt Damon movie directed by Ridley Scott coming out in November: "The Martian" (25 November, 2015) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2p7bgMxewxA |
Cherub Cow
rank | Sun Jun 21 04:09:18 2015 No idea when Dude Bro Party Massacre III will be released. They released it in bourgeois style at -only- the L.A. Film Festival on the 13th, but there hasn't been any word on when the oppressed workers get to see it — it was supposed to be "shortly after" the festival premiere :| Unacceptable! Brian Firenzi must be craving elitism, but those bourgeois festival goers acknowledge only their affectations — pleasing them leads to ruin. This blood bath must be seen by those who never forgot that they were born of blood and -only- blood!! |

rank | Tue Jun 30 19:40:07 2015 Joe Dirt 2 (release of 16 July, 2015) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XHm34jVpeIo ..kind of liked the first one, but this trailer doesn't make part 2 look very good. But! Doesn't look like it will make it to theaters; will be on crackle.com (pretty sure that means it will be released for free) |
Cherub Cow
rank | Tue Jun 30 20:17:37 2015 The concept for this one is at least okay: L.A. Slasher (released 26 June, 2015) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CzWs3YO3Avo Almost like 2011's "God Bless America", it storifies hate for reality TV. This one follows a serial killer (voiced but not physically played by Andy Dick) who targets people who have no talent but who have nevertheless tried to become famous by forced exposure.. It's out right meow, but it only made it to theaters with lots of screens to spare. |
Cherub Cow
rank | Wed Jul 01 01:05:00 2015 I thought the new Terminator didn't come out until the weekend, but it's out already? Weird. Okay. I guess I'll see it then :p |

rank | Thu Jul 16 04:37:17 2015 Air (releases 14 August, 2015) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HxCw1n67jW4 Dystopian future where the world's air has been completely contaminated, except within bunkers where maintenance peeps (Norman Reedus and Djimon Hounsou) wake up every [6 months?] to make sure that VIPs in stasis cells are still alive. Drama happens when Hounsou's cell fails, so they try to decide whether or not to kill a VIP so he can live.. Looks like okay Sci-Fi. I like the concept anyways :) |
Cherub Cow
rank | Sat Aug 15 06:01:12 2015 "Air" was out today, but it didn't even make it to the big theaters here. It's awailable on iTunes though.. will watch tonight |

rank | Sat Aug 15 06:04:19 2015 "People Places Things" also come out today: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bawtuko5zYs It's a realistic/drama comedy with Jemaine Clement from Flight of the Conchords and stuff. rank | Thu Oct 01 00:06:37 2015 "Sicario" (w/ Emily Blunt and Benicio Del Toro) and "The Martian" ( !MATT DAMON! :| ) release this weekend. Might be time to catch up on movies :) |
Cherub Cow
rank | Sat Oct 24 00:11:25 2015 I'll probably dutifully watch "The Last Witch Hunter" because I actually like Vin Diesel in sci-fi/fantasy roles, but I wish they'd gone "R" instead of thinking that PG-13 would help them make money from such a bazaar movie.. |
Cherub Cow
rank | Sat Oct 24 01:30:33 2015 Paranormal Activity 6: "The Ghost Dimension" released recently... [wiki]: "Although The Ghost Dimension will be the sixth and final film installment of the franchise, Russell Naftal, co-managing partner of Beast Media Group said that he doesn't want the story to die. 'If this is successful, we hope to include more,' he said. 'We'll continue this as long as we possibly can.'" That's the worst possible thing that a producer can say. Now I don't want to give them any money by watching it... I still might, though ;p |
Cherub Cow
rank | Sun Nov 01 07:03:55 2015 Not sure I'll bother with Paranormal.. they've just been getting worse and worse.. but if it's still in theater by next week, I might, since I'll have free time for stupid things ;p .. Upcoming Blockbusters: - New Bond (Specter) comes out next Friday! - Hunger Games, Mockingjay Part 2 (20 November) - Star Wars 7 (18 December) Also Upcoming: - Point Break (25 December) - The Hateful Eight (25 December) - The Revenant (25 December) - The Witch (26 February) - Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (25 March) Even though Star Wars and Hunger Games will be at least fun, I'm only really excited for "The Witch" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iQXmlf3Sefg It's produced by A24, and they've produced some really good stuff, like Ex Machina, The Rover, Under the Skin, Spring Breakers.. ("Ex Machina" and "Under the Skin" being in my very short list of really good movies from the last few years; also in that list is "It Follows", but that's not by A24 :p ). They're like Focus Features in that respect (producing lots of stuff I like), except A24 has been selecting great horror directors, so it's like they get me ;p Should be a good winter for movies! :D |
