rank | Sun Apr 08 05:22:53 2018 I am disappointed IBTY didn't make this thread, it's his job to post things regarding HBO. Anyways, this was a decent little flick that will piss off Rugian. It is pretty accurate and honestly spends time humanizing Paterno until the last line, basically. |

rank | Mon Apr 09 05:03:05 2018 an innocent man the film seemed decent except for a few unfair insinuations... like that hand-written thing about not wanting Sandusky using the facilities for Second Mile because of liability issues that was almost certainly just concern of any injuries leading lawsuits |

rank | Mon Apr 09 06:03:04 2018 not clear he ever really knew, as his wife noted, why would he let Sandusky around his own kids that last minute phone call was another unfair bit as they provided nothing on the caller's credibility, could've been Bobby Bowden upset at Paterno taking his record... plus even if true who knows how credible he sounded to Paterno at the time, he's probably heard tons of people talking shit over the years and why would they go to Paterno & only Paterno anyway |

rank | Mon Apr 09 06:05:36 2018 Well you missed the point of that wifes line, she is telling him with her eyes she knows he knew but was more focused on football. Thats why he has the dream sequence of him drowning in the pool, his kids couldve been victimized but he chose to look the other way. Obviously the films opinion of paterno not definitively factual. |

rank | Mon Apr 09 06:13:56 2018 right, that's the actors the real Paterno has real kids... i went to school w/ one, he wouldn't have let Sandusky around his kids innocent man taken down by the media who wanted a big fish... it was clear the upper management people (& Sandusky himself) far more culpable yet most articles were "Paterno" headlines & photos |
