Paramount

rank | Wed Aug 28 21:22:52 2019 I was puzzled today, why is this person all over my news feed |
Sam Adams
rank | Wed Aug 28 21:25:54 2019 A couple million dollar composite racing yacht delivering one person or an economy class seat on a plane for 250. I wonder what is more environmentally friendly? |
tumbleweed
rank | Wed Aug 28 21:26:22 2019 is she an errand girl, sent by grocery clerks, to collect a bill? ...hopefully |
Rugian
rank | Wed Aug 28 21:31:03 2019 Between gun control and climate change, leftists are literally looking to children to shape their political views now. Which I guess makes sense, given that you have to have the mentality of a complete child to believe in such views in the first place. Also, Greta has a Downs-looking face. Just saying. |
Rugian
rank | Wed Aug 28 21:44:38 2019 Anyway, glad to see that Sweden encourages truancy in the name of using children to mindlessly parrot the social justice talking points that have been fed to them by their elders. |
Paramount
rank | Wed Aug 28 21:54:07 2019 She has Asperger syndrome. |
Rugian
rank | Wed Aug 28 23:23:07 2019 Well that makes sense. |
tumbleweed
rank | Thu Aug 29 00:02:45 2019 we have a President saying windmills cause cancer, and if the wind isn't blowing your electricity goes out i bet if he mentioned 'renewable energy' at his rallies, the crowd would boo the retarded person is clear |
Rugian
rank | Thu Aug 29 00:35:13 2019 Yes, it's the person who's NOT advocating that taxpayers be stuck with a $90 trillion bill for a bunch of fanciful progressive initiatives which were cooked up in response to some ridiculous millennialism-style moral panic about the world ending in twelve years. Thanks, Donald Trump, for NOT fucking me over royally like that. |
Dukhat
rank | Thu Aug 29 04:29:05 2019 Rugian had to really reach there. Everything has to be black-and-white thinking to him. Meanwhile, I'm just happy for this girl and the message she sends politics aside. |
smart dude
rank | Thu Aug 29 07:59:27 2019 From wiki: "The green credentials of the trip have been questioned, as two new crew members will fly in from Europe for the return trip, and the two original crew members of the yacht may fly back to Europe." lol what a fraud |
Dukhat
rank | Thu Aug 29 10:53:06 2019 Who cares. Dumbass conservatives act like using any carbon is hypocrisy. Our whole world depends on fossil fuels at the moment. It'll take a while to wean ourselves off the juice. |
Rugian
rank | Thu Aug 29 14:22:40 2019 "Rugian had to really reach there" I really had to feach to connect this autistic truant to Green New Deal-style policies? Lol you dumb. |
Paramount
rank | Thu Aug 29 16:10:29 2019 "The green credentials of the trip have been questioned, as two new crew members will fly in from Europe for the return trip, and the two original crew members of the yacht may fly back to Europe." Greta herself said that she is not asking everyone to stop flying. Going by the boat was something that she chosed to do, she said, to show how hard it is to travel "climate smart" today (or something similar. I don't remember her exact words now.) |
Paramount
rank | Thu Aug 29 19:52:54 2019 * She chose to travel by boat to show how difficult it is to live SUSTAINABLY. |
Rugian
rank | Thu Aug 29 20:14:37 2019 Why are you able to quote her on any of this? You're wasting precious moments of your life listening to a depressed child! |
Paramount
rank | Thu Aug 29 20:53:10 2019 Because I have seen and heard her on the TV three or four times just today. |
Rugian
rank | Thu Aug 29 21:30:18 2019 ...okay...yeah, the media definitely isn't pushing this girl on you or anything. |
smart dude
rank | Fri Aug 30 07:20:22 2019 "Greta herself said that she is not asking everyone to stop flying. Going by the boat was something that she chosed to do, she said, to show how hard it is to travel "climate smart" today" I guess she's right. It is hard to travel carbon free, especially when you're making pointless publicity stunts that require carbon. |

rank | Fri Aug 30 07:32:16 2019 Ironically, going by boat is generally the worst thing you can do carbon footprint wise. Cruiseships (yay royal norwegian line) are terrible. I do admit to being inspired by Greta. A low carbon trip to the Americas would be just the ticket when I am 70 or something. Airtravel is like everything else. Less and in moderation. Kerosine use has to be balanced with other oil destillate uses after all. Jet engines are a less stupid use than many alternatives. |
Sam Adams
rank | Fri Aug 30 08:12:21 2019 A 787 in dense economy configuration crossing the atlantic gets about 150 passenger miles per gallon. Eat shit priuses! |
Sam adams
rank | Fri Aug 30 08:16:52 2019 Of course for a proper business seat its like 40mpg. Not good but not horrifying |
jergul
rank | Fri Aug 30 08:36:21 2019 It does not really matter. Whatever oil destillate is in highest demand drives oil demand. You cannot cut back on jetfuel (kerosene is the main compound in jetfuel) use in isolation. http://www...roleum-products/use-of-oil.php |
jergul
rank | Fri Aug 30 08:44:59 2019 I rather suspect that the best thing to do is examine how changing habits can decrease your household's direct and indirect use of gasoline. It follows that jetfuel use falls proportionately to how much less gasoline you use. |

rank | Fri Aug 30 09:01:30 2019 I would do her. What is age of consent in her country? |
Paramount
rank | Fri Aug 30 09:15:41 2019 15 I think. She is 16. |
