No. Reddit can easily become an echo chamber because all the conservative areas are quickly taken over by idiots and you can't get a word in.

At the same time, it's also easier to cite things on reddit making posts more informative.

So for the proactive user, Reddit is far superior. For the passive user, this place is probably slightly better.
