Had he admitted he had all those supplies he might could have kept the supplies but still would be charged with price gouging and would have lost the money he made from the gouging plus additional fines. Most states have price gouging laws. They have been in place for decades. For guns and ammo to be taken away the government would have to classify them as essential along the lines of bottled water after a hurricane. That isn't going to happen.

I don't think anyone would see jumps to the 80-90% approval rating crisis used to give presidents (at least initially). Remove the 25% troll that Nimi suggests I often spice posts with. There is a strong argument for devolution - transfer more power and authority to the States. This can be done practically by simply rolling back some federal overreach. Partisanship has a tendency to stack by State. More power at state level would give a greater degree of unity overall.
