Its always interesting to observe how various social institutions behave in live situations, from a sociological perspective. But its slowly gathered steam and is losing its fear of social unrest and violence caused by the Magas. What I love though, is that the more he starts to measurably lose political power - which hasnt really happened yet, but seems to be inevitable - the more the legal system is going to come after him. And there's just so much evidence for life sentences and hundreds of millions in penalties for him out there. A loss to Biden will weaken him catastrophically, and if he loses his base, the law will start suing him almost as much as if he was just a mortal wage earner. All very enjoyable.

The president doesn't even gain the ability to voluntarily shut down the border unless crossings exceed 4,000 a day (1.5 million / year) and even then he is forced to re-open the border once crossings drop to 2,000 a day (700,000 / year)...
