This argument is why quite a few countries are neutral. Of course Ukraine is free to respond any way it likes if it feels it can deal with the repercussions. It does whine quite a bit more on social media than I would like if I wanted to think it feels it can deal with repercussions.

The 2022 invasion is merely an resumption of Russian imperial ambitions. The question is why some people are still struggling to understand this? I am on record stating the 2022 invasion and occupation is worse than anything the US has pulled after 1945 (with the possible exception of enabling Israel to do the same thing Russia is doing). I do however follow the just war template. Ukraine is not longer fighting a just war as continued fighting will not give any proportionate benefit. This changes the moment Ukraine seeks a negotiated end to the conflict. So yah, the jergul living rent-free in your head is only spuriously related to the one posting here ;).

Neither were the internal disorders in Donetsk and Luhansk. Russia has zero, zero business being where it is right now. That's what makes them in the wrong and Ukraine's struggle against them just. Nim We all know this started when Kievan Rus disintegrated in the Middle Ages. Kiev getting spun off from the rest of the Russian world is a historical wrong that Putin is now finally rectifying.
