jergul large member	Tue Feb 04 04:57:27 Ruggy RIP? He is not taking our Sovereign Wealth Fund. Frankly, not a bad idea for as long as Federal borrowing costs are lower than expected net ROI. Also, very good for existing stockholders if the US government starts to buy up say 1.5% of publicly listed stocks globally. It gives higher stock prices, all other things being equal. The biggest problem I see is that bonds will be hard to buy because, well US treasury issues are always part of a large portfolio of these types. For good reason as a buffer against volativity

We have a Scrooge Mcduck thing going and kind of figure on losing 50% of the oil fund in one way or another. Government is still running with a massive surplus and continues to transfer funds to oil fund, so it would have no bearing on the Norwegian economy anyway.
