Kennedy Center changed board rules before adopting Trump’s name

New bylaws state that only trustees appointed by the president are allowed to vote, shutting out Democrats from the decision

The Kennedy Center changed its bylaws so that only trustees appointed by President Trump could vote on the decision to add his name to the institution, according to a report.

After Trump took over the performing-arts centre in February, he began dismissing trustees appointed by his predecessors while adding loyalists. In May, the centre’s rules were revised to stipulate that board members designated by Congress — known as ex officio members — could not vote or count towards a quorum, The Washington Post reported. Legal experts said the measure may be a violation of the centre’s charter.

Whataboutism or not, the fact remains that Trump would be like the very last person I would trust to run a clean and honest election.

they put the letters up same day so clearly already had ordered them

presumably wanting to rush it through as knew it was against the law... & keeping it up despite now made even more clearly against the law...

(plus the lying about unanimous, & that other move to change rules mentioned in OP)

so disgusting & disgraceful continuously

I barely had any tolerance for Trump's bullshit by the end of his first term...and it's clear that he hasn't learned anything since then. Fundamentally, I value quiet competence, not showy idiocy.

-His general inability to shut the fuck up and not say dumb shit constantly

-His blatant corruption

-His weaponizing of the Justice Department to target his political enemies

-His obsession with vanity projects (the ballroom, thre arch, the Kennedy Center, and now DC's golf courses)

-His hyper-partisan moves like pushing mid-Census gerrymandering, fucking over the residents of states that didn't vote for him, saying shit like "I hate my enemy," etc.

-His inability to move on from 2020 and his continued insistence that he won that election

-Making Congress virtually irrelevant by (illegally) bypassing them, and punishing any Congressmen/women that dare disagree with him by immediately having them primaried

-His weak need to be constantly praised/never countered

-The overall chaoatic nature of his presidency

-Probably a dozen other reasons

Do I value the fact that he's not a Democrat? Sure. But I would rather have almoat any other Republican rather than him. And he's going to ultimately going to make the voters want to return the Dems to power, which is going to suck. He makes the average person sick of him because he constantly needs to be the center of attention, and when the spotlight is on him he consistently proves that he's an asshole.
