But lets be clear what the US threatened: open the straights or we destroy all of you desalination plants. That's straight up medieval "poison all your wells" shit. If you do that, you kill millions through a droughts. It's a straight up act of genocide that in WW2 terms ought to be punished by hanging your cabinet and any other complicit leaders (basically your entire legislature) and any officers involved. European countries want non of that shit. You want to make yourself pariahs, knock yourself out.
