Jennifer Riojas, who last month resigned from her teaching post at Cater-Riverside High School in Fort Worth, Texas, was bailed on Wednesday for sexual assault against a child under 17. Riojas, 26, has been accused of engineering an affair, and allegedly even had sex with the unnamed student on a hospital bed after he had hurt himself playing American football. The victim, now 17, also said that Miss Riojas drove him to motels for sex and even paid for hotels where the couple stayed. He only went to the authorities when she became pregnant and he feared that he might be the father. Paternity for Miss Riojas's baby has yet to be established. Fort Worth Independent School District spokesman Clint Bond confirmed that Miss Riojas left her classroom on October 19 and resigned two days later. Her resignation letter made reference to her pregnancy.
