Oh shit, you guys were supposed to spam the thread to 100 posts and forget about it so I don't have to answer. What am I going to do now?

Come on guys, fill this one up before I have finished 'reading'.

"please explain to me how smallpox was eradicated"

No, that's ok. I concede. Please keep injecting formaldehyde, mercury and live viruses directly into everyone's bloodstream. I'm everything is fine.

No, I'm conceding. You win. You want to fight about shit that has endless resources on both sides of the equation supporting and slamming vaccinations but won't engage your own common sense to help settle the matter. That's fine with me. I'm at peace with it now. Go ahead, throw the rocks.

So vaccines doesn't cure everything. Water does.
river of blood

Mon Jun 17 13:46:45
Yes, you can do some good with a vaccination. My larger argument is that most of UPers' model of what establishes, promotes and constitutes health is fundamentally flawed. Most of you think that allopethic MDs are the basis of health... and they simply aren't. They aren't even the primary curers of disease - not even fucking close. You've bought in to a bunch of crap, basically.
river of blood
Member
Mon Jun 17 13:51:29
And, yes, water cures more disease than vaccines will ever hope to. But you don't understand health, the human body, what constitutes and causes "diseases" so you're trapped in a modality that has been spoonfed to you by a private self-serving, allopathic, symptom repressing, medical industry that has successfully advertised itself to you as your primary health care gods.

Quite frankly, I've come to enjoy watching your ilk chug semen in this regard. I think of it as a natural selection process. It's actually quite perfect and beautiful.

Maybe I'm doing this cause a diservice by automatically classifying you all as hopeless cum chuggers. I do so mostly in the traditional, fun-loving spirit of relentess UP beatdowns. But all of that aside, I think SOME of you get this. Your health is a thing that starts with how you feel, not what some fucking MD tells you might be wrong with you after thousands of dollars worth of tests (many of which actually make you sick). From there it goes to how you eat, live, rest, love, and move about. And then from there it goes to the thousands of naturally available remedies that we evolved with on this planet for two million years. And from there it goes to MDs (who specialize mostly in sowing your severed limbs back on - if you want to classify that as a 'health' issue). Modern western culture has turned this model completely upside down and that's a huge part of why so many people are so damn sick and why "health care" is fucking outrageously expensive.... and how we end up with fucked up totalitarian fascist shit like Obummer care. So you can take it or leave it. I'm content to watch the cards fall where they may while knowing that there's no way in hell I'm wrong about this.

Funny how nobody is actually asking for you to involve them in your homosexual fantasies. It looks more like you're simply acting your own gay desires in just about every thread you post in.

This topic is as relevant as the disease has become.

What a retarded thing to say. "Use your common sense". What part of common sense informed us about the very existence of vectors? There is a lot in science that defies common sense.

That is all very interesting, but the topic is about disease. I am sure we can get to the off topic "endless examples" later.

You are using "common sense" as if it magically arises in a vacuum, and not rooted in the accumulation of knowledge from observations that are made, often by individuals, to then disseminate to a greater audience and become "common sense". You know, science! Which is a process and concept that is also effected by the accumulation of knowledge and incremental improvements to the method.

Common sense arguments are only as sensible as the basis for them are sound and factual. It is by and large a meaningless term without references. Historically we suffered high attrition rates to find out the "common sense" logic in the world. That animal is dangerous, that is just common sense after it ate Bob. Eating that plant will kill you, that is just common sense after Jane ate it and died. In 2017 that plant can be prepared and cure infections, is that common sense? Give it enough time, I say.

"You are using "common sense" as if it magically arises in a vacuum,"

And you're suggesting that it comes from where? From science?! How the hell did people ever get through the day for a million years prior to the advent of science? Since they wouldn't have had any common sense either? Sounds like you need to think this crazy pet theory of yours a little more.

"What part of common sense informed us about the very existence of vectors? "
I mean, that does seem like common sense. Maybe not in the 19th century.
river of blood

Tue Nov 07 20:13:54
Yeah, I don't get how common sense wouldn't support the notion of a vector.

"a quantity having direction as well as magnitude"?

Like what you need to know to kill something with a spear?

At any rate, I haven't EVER claimed that everything in the universe stems from and appeals to common sense. But I could make that argument too if you like, just as an exercise in humiliating the psuedo-intellectuals in here.

The method with wich we aquire knowledge has been refined since the day we or whatever species it was had the cognitive ability to learn things through among other things observation.

Many stupid things to deal with here, not enough time. Like whatever retarded definition of ”science” that is floating around in this thread. You observe the world, you take notes, build a model and make predictions. Take feedback and refine/change the model. Common sense is the hindsight facts that are produced from this process.
Nimatzo
iChihuaha
Wed Nov 08 01:46:32
Rob you still do not understand what common sense is or where it comes from. It comes from observation aka science. Broadly speaking that is what science is. Hence me explaining that the method for observation has also been refined over the ages. Waaaa science! Science is the assumption that we can observe the world and learn something from it. It took time to develop the practical tools like microscopes and cognitive tools like reason and logic to make models good enough to make accurate predictions.

Define common sense and give us a common sense argument that corrects a scientific discovery in pathology.

Ah yes avoid the question with some dystopia caricature of what ”science” is. Observation, learning and modeling. You fail to deliver.
