You have to feel sorry for those that still make their pathetic jokes on a day of thanks.

I know they are foreigners but you would think they would know better.

Happy Thanksgiving to you foreigners, I sincerely hope you have something to be thankful for.

What is Thanksgiving anyways? What is it all about and why do you celebrare it? Does it got anything to do with Black Friday? Is it like Christmas? With the exception of Jesus and Christmas trees?

Thanksgiving is a holiday that represents the Pilgrims first crop after having landed in what is now Massechuttes. They supposedly had a big feast that they invited the Indians too.

Black Friday is a big shopping day the day after Thanksgiving that, I assume, was thought up by retailers thought up to kick off the Christmas shopping with huge discounts. Nothing to do with Thanksgiving except it falls the day after.

Not like Christmas except for the feasting. No presents or anything like that. Many families will go around the table saying what they are thankful for.

Okay, so basically people are being thankful for what they have got? Expressing their thankfulness for things?

Like, you walk around a table and say something like: ”I’m thankful for the music”?

Do poor and misfortunate people celebrate too?

every one is thankful.. except ingrate indians.. they spend day whining and angry about how white people stopped them from being animalistic illiterate savages living without technology or medicine that actually works etc..

One thing I've noticed about Thanksgiving: It's not as good when you eat out a lot.

If you eat basic stuff at home all year, make your own basic food, and then have feast on Thanksgiving once a year it's awesome!

If you work in the city, go to lunch most days at a restaurant, you basically get a delicious feast many days a month. And Thanksgiving feast becomes "meh".

Yet one more proof to me that more is not better.

So maybe you would be more thankful if you didn’t get to eat delicious food every day?

"One thing I've noticed about Thanksgiving: It's not as good when you eat out a lot."

It's a different style of food though, one that you rarely eat. The overall flavor might be on par with what you would eat at a restaurant (and thus less special if you do it often), but you pretty much don't eat this style of food except in november.

Thanksgiving is a celebration of the harvest and a chance for families to get together and share a great meal. At least at my house it's great. My wife does all the cooking and does a fine job of it.
We had a traditional turkey cooked to perfection and this year we also had a loin of pork marinated in pepper sauce wrapped with bacon. 2 kinds of stuffing, string bean casserole, carrots, mashed potatoes coleslaw, 3 pies- apple, pumpkin, graham cracker. Ice cream tort cake.

The spelling is all wrong, but I'm sure you have heard the word before.

If I come scratching at your door next Thanksgiving will you take me in and feed me? :)

U.S. President Donald Trump gave a bullish Thanksgiving address to troops overseas on Thursday, hailing progress in Afghanistan and against ISIS, and telling them they were fighting for “something real,” including a stock market at record highs and his promised “big, beautiful fat tax cuts.”

Paramount, speaking of music. Here's a blast from the past. What I still consider the best instrumental of the last 60 years.

Minneapolis woman charged with killing Thanksgiving guest for smoking crack

A Minneapolis woman was charged with second-degree murder on Monday, accused of killing a Thanksgiving guest apparently for smoking crack in her apartment without asking or offering to share.

Anenia Marie Hare, 47, called 911 four times on Thursday. When police arrived at her apartment in the 5700 block of 33rd Avenue S., they found Edward Caliph, 69, face down on the living room floor near a broken window. He was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

After she was arrested, Hare told police that she invited Caliph over for Thanksgiving dinner, but "before they started to eat, she looked over and saw the victim lighting up a crack pipe," according to the criminal complaint.

She said she got angry because he did not ask her permission and did not offer her any of the drug. Hare told police she tried to appear intimidating by standing in front of the apartment with an antenna in one hand and a butcher knife in the other and told him he couldn't leave.

Caliph allegedly yelled for neighbors to call 911, then broke out a window with a vacuum cleaner.

Hare told police that she then grabbed him around his shoulders and fell on top of him as he fought to get the knife out of her hand.

She said that after he was face down for awhile, "he started snoring."

"I just grabbed him by the front and he went down. To me it just felt like I put him in a sleeper hold or something," she told police.

An autopsy found Caliph's death was from homicidal violence.
