Dec 4 (Reuters) - The U.S. Department of Labor on Monday proposed eliminating an Obama administration rule that allowed restaurant employees to keep their tips instead of being forced to share them with non-tipped workers, saying the rule had contributed to pay disparities between servers and other staff like cooks and dishwashers.

But Trumpicantards want to accuse liberals, Democrats, Sanders, Obama, and Clinton as socialists.

Trumpicantards are hypocrites and they rejoice!

Just what the hell do you think socialism is?

It is getting your hands on other peoples money.

I don't believe a word that shit posts.

If it were true it would be Trump allowing business' to set their own rules.

Looks like it is from an article and there are many instances support that this is in the process.

So you admit this is enforcing socialism as this would not be "allowing business' to set their own rules."

So what now bud?

This would fall under Don Trump Jr.'s Halloween post about socialism. Exactly the same thing. I would dare say Trump is touching the socialistic principles, where Obama was embracing capitalism.

If it is true then I am sure it was purely unintentional.

"Just get rid of tipping entirely."

I agree! I should have my DNA tested.

The way to do that is by not tipping.

If you think it's more libertarian for an executive agency in DC to unilaterally pass regulations for businesses 2,000 miles away, than to allow businesses to manage their own pay policies, I'm really not sure how this conversation will be productive.

I guess the same question can be asked for you forwyn why do you support the non-merger of Time-Warner and At&t, but appearing not to have an issue with this?

Because allowing restaurants to manage their own tipping policies (so long as theyre not stealing the tip) can't have a negative monopolistic impact on the consumer.

Then remove tipping altogether as was suggested. But seriously, now letting a restaurant say you must share your tip for your service is rather negative.

"why do you support the non-merger of Time-Warner and At&t, but appearing not to have an issue with this?"

TWC and AT&T have essentially been granted monopolies and barely-competitive duopolies all across the US.

Meanwhile, I would anticipate that the businesses hurt the most by this pay regulation are proprietorships. Chain corporations are going to do fine regardless.

Nothing happens in a vacuum.
