Liberals have hit rock bottom

http://www...s-senate-seat-in-maryland.html

The Washington Post first reported Saturday that Manning has filed to run in Maryland for the seat of Democratic Sen. Ben Cardin.

The Federal Election Commission website shows a Jan. 11 filing for “Chelsea Manning for U.S. Senate” with the party affiliation registered as Democrat -- suggesting a primary challenge for Cardin.

Manning, then known as Bradley Manning, was arrested in 2010 and convicted in 2013 of leaking a trove of sensitive documents to WikiLeaks. Manning’s sentence was controversially commuted by President Barack Obama in 2017 after Manning had served seven years of a 35-year sentence.

Since leaving prison, Manning has become known for controversial tweets, often accompanied with a series of emojis and the hashtag #WeGotThis. Last week, Manning tweeted out the message “f---k the police” on Law Enforcement Appreciation Day, along with the hashtag #DisarmThePolice

Manning has also referred to Immigration and Customs Enforcement as “literally the new gestapo.”

When you focus on one party you just can't believe the unlikeable people they are trying to elect - and then if you zoom out a little and look at the other party WOW they are trying to elect equally huge unlikeable candidates.

Last presidential election is a perfect example of this.

Trump is absolute ass. But the only reason he could win is because Hillary was a completely different and equally horrible level of absolute ass.

She is in no way equal to Trump.

None.

Hillary might be Chelsea Manning's equal though.

"She is in no way equal to Trump."

Indeed. Clinton is rational, but bad. Trump is irrational, insane, and objectively the worst leader in history.

It's also quite amusing how some of you are shitting bricks over a fucking no-name declaring candidacy. Maybe if Manning gets some votes, start having your cow?

Trump doesn't even make the top ten of worst ever leader... A year in and no famine, no coupe/revolution, no economic collapse, and no major crisis (dictorship, undermining of courts, civil war, demographic-specific pogrom)...

there's definitely undermining of the courts... & the justice dept & intel agencies & media outlets & truth in general

there's also a coup attempt by the FBI (depending on your news sources)

Yeah, that's why the economy is going Gang Busters.

That's how he got the tax breaks for you people, by strumming on he imaginary mandolin strings.

Of course you can give your tax savings back to the government.

Right?

Will you?

and forgot undermining our election system... he re-iterated his no evidence belief in massive voter fraud when that commission collapsed

...also has damaged international relations over numerous issues including one for Israel's sole benefit... & not even able to show his face in the UK

"Trump doesn't even make the top ten of worst ever leader"

For starters, there's this thing called exaggeration. Also, I would point out that the US can pretty much operate on auto-pilot without much help from the office of the President, should it need to. That there hasn't been any sort of collapse is simply a testament to what reasonably good fortunes the country was in.

Trump simply isn't a leader. He's a mouth piece, and a good one, but he doesn't actually lead. He hasn't done anything of note. Rod cited tax breaks, but it sure wasn't Trump's plan. The guy needed like 3 or 4 fucking tries to write a legal EO on closing borders.

How long have you been posting here? The people defending Trump have never had much faith in any of those institutions, you pretending that such distrust is a new Trump-caused development is just fundamentally dishonest. There is a huge amount of people that (correctly) don't trust their government and the media, that's been true for years now and Trump merely takes advantage of that.

He turned responsibility for that investigation over to Homeland Security. I think the reason for that action is because some States were stonewalling them.

Do try to keep up.

He diesn't want to go to England to open the new Embassy because he thinks it is a waste of money and not needed.

Also he mistakenly thinks it is an Obama boondoggle. True that Bush started the change, but could Obama have stopped it?

"Also he mistakenly thinks it is an Obama boondoggle. True that Bush started the change, but could Obama have stopped it?"

God you're dumb.

Why should it have been stopped. Your hero Bush was the one that initiated it. So the question should be.. why did Bush do that and where was your resentment then?

The bottomline is that Trump is a moron. And his reason behind not going, which doesn't matter. He could have just declined, but no, he declined and then touted "I'm not going because bad deal, Obama's fault, sold for pennies." Yeah, 1 billion dollars or over is just pennies I guess.

"He turned responsibility for that investigation over to Homeland Security. I think the reason for that action is because some States were stonewalling them. "

Uh huh, or just the fact there wasn't widespread fraud that Trump is falsely claiming. And Homeland Security pretty much set it as a low priority if at all even doing it. His feelings hurt because of popularity vote.

the embassy move was for safety... no reason to cancel... and it was an obvious Trump lie to begin with, he know he won't have cheering crowds (which is all he cares about)

and Trump isn't undermining all those institutions for whatever reasons you have, it's entirely for selfish reasons

- Intel agencies are garbage because he trusts Putin
- justice dept is corrupt because of the Russia investigation
- courts are corrupt for ruling against him
- election system is corrupt because he deserved pop vote win
- media is fake because of negative Trump coverage (which he brings on himself)

what complaint has he had other than self-serving ones?

This thread is the first I have heard about the Embassy.

As I understand it, Trump does not want to cut the ribbon because he thinks there was nothing wrong with old embassy and the new one is poorly located and a waste of money.

"As I understand it" = eating the Trump bullshit

and not sure how it's the first you heard of it since you were arguing it in the 'mentally ill' thread

What I mean by, it's the first I heard of it is when it just came up recently.

Not years ago when it first happened when Bush made the decision to create a new embassy.

If we talked about it then I must have ignored it at the time.

probably nobody talked about it because there was nothing to talk about

Trump only just decided it was shitty as he needed an excuse not to go to the UK where he'd be booed... and he did his typical zero research before commenting, thus making a fool of himself yet again
