Try Civilization.

I play version five myself, but I hear four is better. Version six is out too but haven't heard anything about that myself.

You start out with a settler and a warrior and all you can see is a small patch of ground. The you work your way up to space travel or world domination or several other ways of winning.

god i miss those times as a kid u wuld watch tele and then mortal kombat 2 trailer or some mario game trailer wuld pop up...now thats like real life candyland 4 kids.

mw2 was dope though.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare was the only one of the bunch that I'd really recommend anyone play for the single player.

The rest got continually more insane/crazy with the story. Jumped the shark so to speak. Crossed the boundary in which suspension of logic could any longer be maintained.

Anyhow, I suppose the attraction was being able to

1- experience a cool/macho soldier story in single player

2- With the on-line component able to play a competitive team game. The modern world's fucked up version of a pick up game of baseball at the park.

cod advanced warfare
cod infinite warfare

damn son thats alot of cod. and i literally only played 1 single player of cod and that was way back durin cod mw...

the fuck is wrong with u. u play cod for its multiplayer duhhhh. its the easy pick up and waste a few hours online, that speaks to people.

CoD: MW single player was the best one worth playing. It was a cool story.

The rest of the allure of the game was team competition, not really the story.

In any case, why NOT play them? They are short, and come with the game. Why ignore a part of the game you purchased?

The call of duty games might as well just be a $5/month multiplayer subscription. That's all they are, an excuse to print $60/year for updated multiplayer.
