Aeros Member	Mon Mar 05 23:52:27 You guys have to play this game. Its the tour de force of the survival crafting phenomenon that Minecraft unleashed way back when. Its been in early development for years now, but unlike early access games it was released in January as an end state game. It eschews procedurally generated environments for environments that are hand crafted and serve relevant purpose both to the alien worls ecology and the story. Btw it has a story and a very good one. Its done brilliantly in that it is "there", but can be advanced at your leisure. And can only be advanced if you do open ended exploration to unlock the further crafting mechanics that enable you to go farther and go deeper. And like the story the crafting is not in your face either. Its "there" and you can complete the game doing the bare minimum or create your own underwater sealab 2021. It all culminates in a great ending where all secrets are made known and you can have your aha i am so smart for seeing this coming moment. The game is also beautiful both visually and audibly. If it was not for some technical issues it would be an easy 10/10. As it is its a 9/10 game and will become a classic representation of its genre and video games in general. 50 years from now people will still want to play it.

Aeros Member	Tue Mar 06 12:24:40 Without being too spoilery, the Main Carachter is a crewman on a Private exploration ship that was sent to uncolonized space to construct a new phasegate (the method of interstellar travel). Story takes place on an ocean planet. There are some horror elements, yes, but its not the primary focus. Its there to give the exploration a sense of danger and it does it well.

Aeros Member	Tue Mar 06 13:04:50 Kinda, though if you build it near an apex predators spawn area they can be attacked I believe. My base started out as just a place for me to store all my shit, but it expanded to include a lab, living area, farm, and a whole bunch of aquariums that I used to create representations of each biome and its animals. That is all optional though. You don't have to build a huge base. Just a bare bones place to park your vehicles and store resources for crafting
