TW, trump is going to stop world war 3 by his alpha male tweets that clearly intimidate rocket man. Meanwhile Obama and is cuckholded admin bent over and let rocket man rape their wives. We should all be thankful that trump decided to leave his lucrative tv deal to save us all from a horrifying nuclear apocalypse.

has he ever demonstrated any depth of knowledge on this or any other issue?

all posturing aside, you must be a fool if you think trump's behavior isnt the reason rocket man is willing to come to the bargaining table. whether he is writing down specifics for a peace deal isn't important. He slapped his dick on the table, rocket man tried to the do the same but trump kept doing it and rocket man nerviously shoved his dick back in his pants. Trump's alpha dog/i wont back down behavior has clearly intimidated kimmy.

All of you people that don't believe in Trump watch the U.S. representatives.

As soon as the NK's go off script and try to change the dialogue from giving up their Nukes. We will get up and walk out.

Yes, deranged psychopaths generally frighten people, especially when such psychopaths have the keys to nukes. NK knows they cannot take on a US legitimately willing to glass them. I guess you could call this a win, but I wouldn't call it good.

I think Kim knows that Trump is very, very, very serious. And he would like to come out of this still leading his country.

"As soon as the NK's go off script and try to change the dialogue from giving up their Nukes. We will get up and walk out."

Yes, as it has happened numerous times before. This is not all surprising. And the end result will most probable be the same; North Korea not giving up their nuclear program.

You soon forget history of the of how Kim Jong Un and/or his father operates/operated. I do find it rather amusing that you are 'giddy' about this as it is some breakthrough that has never been done before. Where in reality the bridge as been walked before until it's collapse. In fact, you should thank South Korea more than anything to even gotten this far.

But, I am sure with your extensive knowledge of history and various facts you would be able to formulate that notion...

Or are you going to jump on the bandwagon, as you are doing, about the concept of a denucleruized North Korea that has been attempted for decades. As you keep referring to Obama as if he was the only administration that had to deal with it.

Three past administrations have tried tough talks, as well as sanctions, and it’s telling to see how they all ended in failure, but Trump is different even though he may end with the same history.

There are a few differences, but the outstanding one is the unpredictable rhetoric. It's the kind of power or leverage that past Presidential administrations didn’t effectively convey. Walking the tightrope.

I wouldn't bet on the outcome. More talk and no effective action will deliver equal result. The sanctions have tightened, because of that unpredictability.

To translate:

Trump is batshit and people are legit frightened he might drop nukes. Somehow this is a good thing, even though it might not change the outcome.
TJ

You translated incorrectly. I didn't provide an opinion on good or bad. Simply an honest assessment of the situation.

I wouldn't bet on the outcome not being the same as past Presidents.

"demanding compliance at the tip of a nuclear missile is moral"

We've established that standard diplomacy does jack shit when it comes to NK, especially when China continues to protect them. Sometimes braggadocio is what is needed.

"He won't be giving up his nukes."

Probably smart, we saw what happened to Gaddafi and the attempts to emulate that yet again with Assad.

North Korea is NOT giving up their nukes.

They also demand an official end to the Korean War.

And they want the US the fuck out of the Korean peninsula.

None of this is new. None of this is going to change.

Even if Trump capitulates and gives them everything they want, they still aren't giving up their nukes.

This is so because:

1. They don't want to.
2. They don't have to.
3. Saddam & Gaddafi.

Giving up your wmd ends in us killing you.

NK didn't blink when GWB withdrew from the Clinton's Sunshine deal in 2002, they just reopened their reactor in response, and started to produce plutonium, eventually having enough to make a nuke. And that was when they did not have a nuclear weapon. Now they do, so even hypothetically speaking, what they would ask in return would make sunshine deal pale in comparison. Grain, money, lightwater nuclear rectors to begin with, remember how GOP trashed clinton for all that? Of course that was with the papa Kim in charge, maybe the kid Kim has less balls. But it doesn't sound like he does. And speaking of Donald's craziness and unpredictability, back then NK went against hardcore neocons like Cheney, who actually thought that wars are good and lead to peace, i think they might like their chances against Trump, no matter how supposedly crazy he is

"3. Saddam & Gaddafi. "

ukraine is more proper comparison, they actually had nukes, unlike iraq and libya, and gave them all up in return for the agreement guaranteeing ukraine's territorial integrity, signed by russia, US and UK. You know how that turned out.

Ah yes, the continuing perpetuation of obsession over Obama. As if this has anything to do with him as you continue to inaccurately say that only NK under Kim had nukes when it is a historical fact that the nuclear program has been in developed for decades.

I have to ask; what exactly is your point other than making an irrelevant post? Are you still suck in the fantasy world that Trump was the only president that has made progress when this is in fact history repeating itself? Would you like to refer to the link that was submitted showing the many other instances of the same rhetoric conducted by North Korea?

Well, i guess i focus on obama because he punted and let nk acquire nukes. So yeah, he gets most of the blame. Meanwhile, under trump NK is attempting to make strides to accept peace because kim cant compete with trumps dick wagging. No one can.

I'm old enough to remember Republicans criticizing Clinton for negotiating with North Korea.

It's funny watching the Trumpbots praising Trump for meeting with Kim Jong Fool ... when the reason why we've never met with him is to not grant him legitimacy and stature.

Trump is going to do both and get nothing in return. This is bound to lead to a few more resignations.

murder

"Bill Clinton started helping the North to get into the nuclear business. He gave them a reactor."

They already had a reactor. Clinton made a deal to replace it and others being built with reactors that made it harder to produce weapons grade material.

And btw "W" killed the deal.

American Democrat

Which is a very valid point. Though I will gather that the argument presented will be "time have changed and things are different now" or echoing what is currently being done "it isn't Obama" so therefore it is legitimate because Trump is doing it.

I have a feeling, and this is based on history and previous experiences regarding North Korea that this will amount to nothing and it was a public relations fiasco by the "show me" President.

This is falling more into the hands of NK than for the US and will most likely end up making the US look foolish.
