hard to draw a lot of conclusions as the D candidate isn't a typical D and the R candidate, while not a child molester, still has negative charisma

Lamb leads by 95 votes after ~220,000 counted

who will cheat better with the absentees...

They are still two precincts that won't count tonight plus the thousands of mail-in votes that have not been counted yet.

Lamb favored if everything follows projections but there are enough outstanding votes and enough realistic results where the Republican wins.

Still, the GOP sent the whole circus here including Trump and Pence in an R+20 district.

Who did the demonrats send, Hillarity?

they sent Biden i think

and presumably educated people are more likely to know how to absentee vote than Trump fans so Lamb should win

I like that this special election was scheduled because the previous representative, a very pro-life, family values republican had to have sex outside his sacred marriage, then thought that he impregnated some woman and naturally asked her to abort it. Alas, this all leaked

Hard to believe that the union is still sponsoring the demonrats after President Trump is bringing back steel and aluminum and coal.

coal isn't coming back

and tariffs aren't Republican... plus these aren't going to last

indeed, Rod. The democrat would probably win by 10 points, if not for Donald's genius last week tariffs announcement. They are writing about this massive swing, Trump won the district by 20 in 2016, now it is even, and this is AFTER Donald's steel tariffs
CrownRoyal

btw, will Donald continue pushing hard steel tariffs with the same gusto now that Pa election is done? Or will he lose interest and maybe institute some half-assed measures, full of exemptions

Hard to believe they are voting for the demonrats because the unions told them to.

Trump is negotiating with Mexico and Canada now and it looks like they will be talking to Europe too.

Canada & Mexico already exempt... his announcement suggested even paying NATO properly would get you exempt... plus if you buy our military gear you can get exempt (Trump loves being an arms dealer)... and the order itself allows companies to get waivers

he doesn't give a shit about protecting steel... anyone expanding operations will be screwed

"bringing back steel and coal"

This is beyond his power.

"Canada & Mexico already exempt..."

That is only temporary based on how NAFTA turns out. I don't know about the rest of them but the tariffs are a good bargaining chip.

If it works out American companies will be buying American steel. And there is a good chance he can sell some coal to Europe along with the natural gas.

I didn't mean to say it was national security. Just that they were suffering per my last post.

Did I tell you the story about IKE?

He was given the task, in the late 30's, to write a report on what would be needed from our industry if we went to war with Japan or Germany.

It seems rolling steel 24/7 to build the tanks and trucks and planes and ships that would b needed to fight a long ground war.

Not sure how many planes and trucks were built, but I heard we built something like 24,000 tanks and about 100 small aircraft carriers plus all of the rest we built. They certainly needed as much steel and aluminum as quickly as the could get it.

And even with IKE's "blueprint" it took months before we could mount our first counter-attack.

What do you think our industry could do if we went to war tomorrow?

Might not be enough. Then too, Canada might pull a Sweden.

Then too, Chin might send a few hundred thousand troo... ERR... volunteers, cross country to help Russia if they are one of the belligerents.

"Then too, Canada might pull a Sweden. "

Totally, this is a justified natsec concern, the danger is real. But, if Canada just renegotiates NAFTA to Donals's liking, then who cares if Canada pulls a Sweden. No more national security concern.

Do you know what I mean by "pulling a Sweden"?

When WWII broke out Sweden supplied coal to the NAZI's. Probably other commodities too.

I know. Whatever sweden-like treachery you mean by that witty phrase, all danger to the USA from it disappears, according to Donald, if only nafta is renegootiated.

I'm not saying they will, but I'm not saying they won't either. I'm just saying that it is better if we don't have to depend on any others.

The only analogy I can think of is if someone is breaking into your home with the intent of killing you or a member of your family what would you rather have?

An AR-15 with a high capacity magazine or a cop four minutes away?

Sweden also sold iron ore to Britain.

No, your analogy is bad. A more appropriate analogy would be:

You have a nice stockpile of guns in your house, plenty of ammo and a good variety of ammo. A family in a neighboring town decides that they're going to attack your friends for whatever reason. When you go to aid your friends, you realize that you only have 40 guns but 45 people to hold them. Since you don't have spare parts to just make more guns right on the spot, you'll have to go to the store to arm the last 5 people.

We already have plenty of military resources. If we ever get into a skirmish (and bitch please, nobody is going to attack the US directly) abroad that requires heavy investment of forces, we'll deploy what resources we have and plan the production of more, if necessary. So as I said, your analogy fucking blows and you're fucking retarded.

A recount that will take months and then the seat will be up again and also redrawn.

GOP would be retarded to demand a recount just like the Dems would be retarded if they had lost. Seat's up in 5 months.
Hot Rod

Wed Mar 14 17:33:04

If there is a recount the Republicans will have to pay for it.

And it will not take 'months'. This first count was done overnight. A recount, with care, will likely not take more than a week at best.

This was addressed towards hot rod in another thread when he express this same retarded logic. As he still continues to display the fundamental lack of understanding how this works.

That too, unless they obliterate the seat when they redraw the seat, or whatever they call it.
