Just saw this flick because it popped up on Showtime. Pretty good movie. Definitely tugs at the heart strings but doesn't do it in a manipulative or exploitative way.

We see the event through multiple viewpoints including the terrorists and Berg, in a mature manner, doesn't tell the audience what to believe, he lays out the facts and lets the audience draw their own conclusions.

It has a surprisingly long and dramatic gun fight, but apparently it happened, when the boston PD have a shoot out with the terrorists. I knew that event happened but I had no idea how long it went out and how many pipe bombs those guys made.

Performances all around are solid if not exceptional, I particularly liked JK Simmons, he did a lot with a little screen time.

Definitely the best of the Berg/Whalberg trilogy.

Hmmm I never watched it. Thought it felt like making a whole movie out of those events an effort in stretching out the story to probably borderline ridiculous levels (for example the hobbit movies).

I'll have to check it out.
