Anyone else watching the shit surrounding this band? Any fans? Personally I enjoy their music. Anyone else?

Only new band of the last decade+ I've actually really raised an eyebrow to with a modicum of excitement for is Greta Van Fleet after hearing the first few seconds of one of their songs.

lol the movie has nothing to do with the band Ghost, Hot Rod.

I'm not a fan of Ghost. I guess their music is okay, but it's nothing for me.

My only gripe about Ghost is that their music begins to sound pretty much all alike. Of course a lot of mainstream groups seem to gravitate to that recourse.

I've been a big fan of the pretty reckless as far as new music goes. And +1 to hrothgar on greta van fleet; they could be worth following.

Never heard of Greta Van Fleet. But thanks, I like the music, but I'm not 100% sure about his voice. I get it that he wants to have this high-pitched voice. I have no problem with that. But in my opinion he doesn't really live up to singers like Lenny Wolf of Kingdom Come.

Check out Kingdom Come. They too sounds like Led Zeppelin. Their first album is a master piece. And this song is EPIC!

Slow & Easy is the kind of tune you want to raise the volume to the max to.

Greta Van Fleet isn't exactly new either. There's nothing original about them. Heard it before. Same shit different name.

Maybe Whitesnake is new to Hrothgar or to Hot Rod. I doubt Hot Rod has heard of Whitesnake before.

Again, you completely fail to understand the concept of new being used.

Not sure how current they are but I've been listening to Dead Sara, Butcher Babies, and In This Moment lately. Also like some of the songs Texas Hippy Coalition do.

My mainstay though is 70s 80s hard rock, heavy metal and punk.

Dead Sara is old music. Sorry, but Butcher Babies are also old. lol

I knew Dead Sara had been around for a while but I wouldn't call that old music. Their first album hasn't even been out for ten years. Old is the Kinks, one of my all time favorite bands.

I kinda have to stumble across music. It's a bit isolated where I live so random searches online are my only hope. Makes it hard to hear fresh new stuff.

Whitesnake is indeed awesome. I should get more of their music playing again.

Greta Van Fleet is just nice considering they are young kids just starting out in the last few years - and sound like they are straight out of the 70s. So yeah, not a new sound, but one I haven't heard new music from for a long, long time. If ever really. Since that sound was already set when I was born. And especially fun since they are gaining traction and actually becoming somewhat a big deal on the music scene.

Need some new youngsters firing up 80s style hair metal again lol.

I like Ghost! I mostly just like their “Year Zero” song from Infestissumam.. I did see them in concert on their most recent tour, and they put on a fun kind of 80s hair band show (back-to-back guitar solos, playful jam dancing, intentional egotism, etc.). Some of their stuff is too upbeat and happy for me, but I’m on board with the Satanism so... :p

There was a rumor that Dave Grohl was one of the Nameless Ghouls for awhile. Interesting.
