The mini series that was on Paramount about a month ago, finally got around to see it. Pretty good over all, the FBI and ATF are pigs, they martyr Koresh a bit too much (he was a pedophile), but yeah, pretty good mini series.

All these years later and I still don't get the criticism of the government. The government spent a month and a half trying to get the morons inside to surrender. That's long enough to listen to Stairway to Heaven ... twice.

Koresh offered to let ATF inspect their weapons. They refused, because they wanted to play raid the bad guy. These faggots wanted tanks and SpecOps based on outdated reports of a meth lab, they were refused.

They rolled in heavy anyway, with bad surveillance and prepped for battle. They sent in a fucking dog team immediately, and fired the first shots.

At no point during the outset were any attempts made to negotiate by the ATF.

correct, they didnt break any laws. if anything koresh eloped with a 14 year old but that is legal under texas law so long as parents agree with it, which they did.

it was a show of force that was meant to be easy but turned into a massacre and the feds fucked up.
