Trump doc says Trump bodyguard, lawyer 'raided' his office, took medical files

http://www...raided-his-office-took-n870351

summary: the doc told media Trump took propecia... so Trump goons went to his office & took all records w/o proper paperwork (according to Trump's weirdo doctor... the 'astonishingly excellent' one)

Morale of the story: don't break doctor-patient confidentiality.

Uh. That's a pretty big deal. You don't just take medical records without proper approval. We're talking substantial breech of HIPAA.

Wanna know what else is a aubstantial breach of HIPAA? Blabbing to New York Times reporters about what drugs your patient of 35 years is on.

If this guy had been Hillary's physician, he'd end up commitimg suicide by shooting himself twice in the back of his head. He should count himself lucky.

All of the people involved in this mess should be jailed. The doctor. The bodyguard. And the person who gave the order to the bodyguard to steal the files. The law must be respected.

"Wanna know what else is a aubstantial breach of HIPAA? Blabbing to New York Times reporters about what drugs your patient of 35 years is on."

And? The article is about the raid, not the doctor blabbing. We also don't know if Trump had given consent to the doctor to share health info (it's a good assumption there's some form of documentation describing what the doctor does and doesn't have permission to share). And if the doctor had no such authority? Great, file HIPAA charges there too.

Not a whataboutism, as the raid and the leak are inextricably linked.

In other news, the doctor felt "raped" during the raid. Another another notch on Trump's belt.

Doesn't look like consent was given, he just didn't think it was a "big deal".

"I couldn't believe anybody was making a big deal out of a drug to grow his hair that seemed to be so important. And it certainly was not a breach of medical trust to tell somebody they take Propecia to grow their hair. What's the matter with that?"

Ah, you're one of those nutters! How many people have Bill and Hillary killed? They've got to be pushing 300 by now.

"Does Propecia really stimulate hair growth?"

Judging by the 100 extremely hairs covering Trump's head, I'd say it's hit and miss.

sounds illegal to me if it occurred as the whack job / long-time Trump doc described (why are so many Trump associates weird and/or criminals?)

at the very least, seems if they are rifling through records it's violating other people's rights

i would guess the likely procedure is forms are filed & the doc himself retrieves the records... if the doc is violating laws, law enforcement should be involved, not bodyguards

So doctor broke patient/doctor confidentiality and trump cut him off at the pass to prevent him from leaking more crap to the media.

Not a big deal.

"other people's rights"

Nah

"Bornstein said the original and only copy of Trump's charts, including lab reports under Trump's name as well as under the pseudonyms his office used for Trump, were taken."

Hood,

This is not a whataboutism. The one act was a direct response to the other.

murder,

No, I'm sure the actual number is somewhere under 100. That said, even one Seth Rich is too many.

They killed 35 when they took down Ron Brown's plane. You mean to tell me that there's less than 65 other victims?

some source (presumably on team Trump) claims the doc couldn't get his copy machine working & that's why they got the originals... suspicious, but so is the doctor

in any case, we get reminded of the weird ass doctor Trump relied on for decades, plus we hear about his Propecia again which will irritate him

the doc now claims that ridiculous health note back during campaign that seemed like it was written by Trump was indeed dictated by Trump:

---------------

When Dr. Harold Bornstein described in hyperbolic prose then-candidate Donald Trump's health in 2015, the language he used was eerily similar to the style preferred by his patient.

It turns out the patient himself wrote it, according to Bornstein.

"He dictated that whole letter. I didn't write that letter," Bornstein told CNN on Tuesday. "I just made it up as I went along."

His physical strength and stamina are extraordinary," he crowed in the letter, which was released by Trump's campaign in December 2015. "If elected, Mr. Trump, I can state unequivocally, will be the healthiest individual ever elected to the presidency."

That was a great letter

"This is not a whataboutism. The one act was a direct response to the other."

Both are perfectly illegal acts and one causing another does not affect the illegality. It is whataboutism.

"Doesn't look like consent was given, he just didn't think it was a "big deal"."

Doctor seems retarded enough to have no idea what is on his consent form (if he even has one, which if not is a bigger issue). Everyone involved should be fined and prosecuted.

"some source (presumably on team Trump) claims the doc couldn't get his copy machine working & that's why they got the originals... suspicious, but so is the doctor"

And irrelevant. If the doctor didn't have express permission from the patient, and did not give express permission for the removal of the originals, this is a HIPAA violation.
