Utopia Talk / Politics / I Predict That Kim Will Give Up His Nuke

The reason Kim is willing to give up his nukes is primarily caused by PRESIDENT Trump going after Syria for using gas on their own people.

What has me convinced of this is based on the war movie 'Pork Chop Hill 1959'.

"Storyline

Grim story of one of the major battles of the Korean War. While negotiators are at work in Panmunjom trying to bring the conflict to a negotiated end, Lt. Joe Clemons is ordered to launch an attack and retake Pork Cop Hill. It's tough on the soldiers who know that the negotiations are under way and no one wants to die when they think it will all soon be over. The hill is of no particular strategic military value but all part of showing resolve during the negotiations. Under the impression that the battle has been won, battalion headquarters orders some of the men withdrawn when in fact they are in dire need of reinforcements and supplies. As the Chinese prepare to counterattack and broadcast propaganda over loudspeakers, the men prepare for what may be their last battle.?

In the end, there are two military officers that get an insight into the Korean mindset.

They know there is really no reason to fight over the hill and they know the North Koreans are aware of that too.

So, they get the officers on the line to send reinforcements up the hill to show our resolve.

And that is what caused NK to sign the Cease Fire.

I think someone, probably China, convinced Kim that PRESIDENT Trump is serious about NK giving up their Nukes or suffer the consequences.

And that is why I think this will happen, but Kim has to be assured that his position as the leader of NK is safe and that we won't take it away from him.

So, that is why I think this will work.

BTW, The movie is excellent and I highly recommend it. It stars Gregory Peck and Rip Torn.

"PRESIDENT Trump going after Syria for using gas"

Assad did not use gas.

The attack on Syrian forces was very ineffective. It's ridiculous to think that the Supreme Leader of North Korea would be intimidated by such a tiny attack.

His attack was 'uge, over 105 missiles big. It may have ultimately been impotent, but you can not say his attack was tiny. It was one of the largest attacks we have seen.

It would be foolish for NK to sign an agreement with the USA. I mean, if the USA withdraws from the agreement they made with Iran, then agreements with the US will not be worth the paper it is written on. So there’s no reason to sign agreements with the US. The moment they give up their nukes they will be screwed.

"His attack was 'uge, over 105 missiles big."

An attack with 105 warheads is tiny, remember this:
http://www...tary/world/dprk/m-1978-170.htm

The number of Koksan guns is not publicly reported, but it is reliably reported that North Korea has about 500 long-range artillery tubes within range of Seoul, double the levels of a the mid-1990s. Large caliber self propelled artillery pieces typically have a sustained rate of fire of between four and eight rounds per minute. This suggests a total rate of fire of artillery alone of between 2,000 and 4,000 rounds per minute. The DPRK's two hundred 240mm MRLs fire either 12 or 22 rounds, providing a maximum single salvo of no more than 4,400 rounds.

” I Predict That Kim Will Give Up His Nuke”

When North Korea sees USA pull out from the agreement with Iran, they will not going to give up their nukes. lol

If Kim certifiably transfers his nukes anywhere from NK, there is no price too high for that, and I hope Trump pays the full bribe. Because that would be a tremendous achievement. If it does happen, hopefully republicans would stfu and not spew the stupid nonsense about the unsaivory bribe, like they did when Bill Clinton was dealing with Kim-dad

I think the reverse.

The fact that America strikes at Syria, and is ripping up an agreement with Iran should be a very clear incentive to North Korea that it must keep the bomb as America will renege on any deal to de-nuclearise.

Can't the bombs, if any, be dismantled in some way?

And I'm not totally sure that he will tear up the Oran agreement. He might wait till after Korea.

I predict Kim may say he will give up his nukes, but will never in fact actually do so.

There will be rock solid inspection this time.

No staying off Kim's military bases by the inspectors. They will have Carte Blanch on just about every square foot of NK territory. Nothing will get past the inspectors.

Its not about actual deployed nukes. Its about controlling the threshold status so ramping up nuclear deployment takes time.

Haven't you realized by now that PRESIDENT Trump has more interest in America's safety than Oslima?

Of course Kim Jong-Un is going to offer to give up his nukes in exchange for the USA giving up theirs as well. Everyone knows that.

The US is already committed to giving up it's nukes ... sometime after forever.

I really do not think Kim is that stupid.

I look for the two parties to create a treaty that has a non-aggression pact as a part of the treaty.

If Kim that is exactly what he will do and while he is at it he should definitely take advantage of the economic assistance that PRESIDENT Trump will offer. Not nation building, but advice and possibly some loans that must be repaid. That is how he gets to keep being dictator.

China would do well to join in along with Japan, the Philipines, and maybe even Australia.

"Louie, I think this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship."

Let's hope so anyway. It doesn't cost anything to hope, does it?

Well yeah, because Trump doesn't tear up deals of anything.

Tearing up a Treaty is very likely grounds for impeachment and the vote would be very close to 100 - 0.
