Hot Rod Revved Up	Thu May 17 14:18:25 And I will appreciate any help you guys can give me. I want to start using a new computer but it is asking for my user password. I never set it up for a user password and it does not accept the password from my old computer. I tried going into the Administrater to change it and, if I ever set one, I can't remember te password for that. Is my only option downloading Windows 10 and starting from scratch? That's all I can think of. Please help.

Maybe you want to hack into your neighbor’s computer and are asking us to help you to bypass the password?
Hot Rod Revved Up	Thu May 17 14:42:39 I bought a new computer two or three years ago but ended up staying with the old one till now. I can get into the old computer with my user password but I cannot get into the new one using it. My Administrator password I have forgotten completely.
hood Member	Thu May 17 14:45:27 Have you tried just hitting the logon button without a password? If you never set a password, you won't need to input one, but there's a setting somewhere that might have gotten checked to stop at the login screen despite being without a password.
Paramount Member	Thu May 17 14:52:40 If you don’t have any important documents on that computer you could wipe it clean and re-install windows. Isn’t there a button/link on the logon screen that says something like: ”I have forgot my password”. The computer the asks you a security question that you provided when you set the password. If you answer it correct then I think it let you in or it sends an email to you or something. I have never used that so I don’t know for sure what happens.
Paramount Member	Thu May 17 14:59:45 You could also try some simple passwords like: password letmein abc123 12345678 0000 itisme then try to type them backwards, and try all kinds of different combinations of them, with capital letters and so on. It may take a while so prepare some coffee.
tumbleweed the wanderer	Thu May 17 15:09:27 try the empty password first if it has one, it'd be something HR picked years ago so don't need to go that random in guesses if never used then reinstalling Windows isn't a problem if you have the means... but it's not as easily obtainable for free anymore
Hot Rod Revved Up	Thu May 17 15:14:12 hood, I tried it blank too. Didn't work. I think I will just reinstall Windows. That seems to be the simplest thing to do. I installed a few programs before on the new one but stopped when I found out someone I trusted made off with my Microsoft Office. That's when I stopped but I have a new one now.
