The game will only be good 2 years later after a shit ton of dlc and patches anyways as per Paradoxes usual development cycle.

I'm enjoying some of their older stuff. Not like strategy games age much anyways. It's a 2d map and a ton of text and numbers.

As long as we're discussing Paradox...women rulers are the fucking worst. Playing my first Ironman game as England, and just now became the junior partner in a personal union with Spain because my cunt monarch couldn't be bothered to take any dick. In 1766. Fuck.

I got EU4 with 3 dlc yesterday. It was on sale with 65% off. Got it for like 31 or was it 33 euro.

I’m only getting myself familiar with the game now, but I’m gonna play as Sweden later.

I liked the Hearts of Iron series. Played I, II and III. Not sure if I wanna get HoI4. It’s just the same old WW2 again, right?

Maybe if there is gonna be a WW3 irl soon, then maybe Paradox can make some strategy games about that so we will get something new to play.

Has anyone ever played one of the kebab nations? Never been able to get into it in either EU 4 or CK 2. Not being able to Deus Vult and Remove Kebab removes a major reason for my enjoyment of the game.

Also doing a play through of CK2 right now using Absolute Cognatic Primogentor. It's pretty fun tbqh. Being able to give titles to your daughter's and then marry them off is a bit game breaking though. I got the crowns of Scotland, Middle Francia and Italy through the power of the Penis.

I'm somewhere north of 2000 hours combined on CK2 and EU4.

I hope this game is fantastic.

Dukhat is very wrong if he thinks CK2 and EU4 weren't excellent right from launch.

I have a hard time playing the Total War games anymore, because Paradox's grand strategy games have them beat on the "grand strategy" part by an order of magnitude. It makes it hard to go back and settle for so much less.

No hands-on RTS battle action though.
