About 500k today. Less than 300k by 2020. Under 100k by 2025.

Let that sink in as a big part of the explanation why private Bone-Spurs is our president right now.

The greatest generation replaced by mouthbreathers like Hot Rod who may very well have 20 years left in front of being a retard in front of him.

I blame you and people like you dickhat. Call people mouthbreathers for a couple of decades and dehumanize your fellow citizens, sooner rather than later they will embody all your mouthbreathing dreams, in ways, it is safe to say, that was unimaginable to you.

Which is when I saw the light and started loving Trump, the massive collective triggerering, it was as if the entire Liberal establishment in the US got slapped in the face, the sting from it will linger for a decade.

WWII is the last time our nation was in danger of being attacked. If Hitler had killed Britain he would have stood a better chance against the USSR.

We have had a few wars where we were allegedly protecting our interests, But Hitler was the only one that could have posed a serious threat to us.

Hitler declared war on us. It would have been somewhat rude of us not to respond as we did.

I forgot about this the other day but Japan sent incendiary balloons against us that caused some forest fires in the North Central United States and they actually invaded an island or two up in the Aleutians. I don't know too much about it but I understand there was a nasty battle or two up there.

Look, I think we can all agree (Well, maybe not in Paramount's case) that the world is a better place without Nazis and kamikaze bombers controlling half of it, and given the political ideologies and global ambitions of the Axis states, it's entirely reasonable to argue that American intervention in the war was a case of preemptive self defense - we could fight them now with allies, or in 1951 without any. It was a just war.

But we did definitely weasel our way into it.

It wasn't given away for free* until pretty close to the point where we got actually involved. For most of the war, we were indeed receiving payment.

Sold on credit lines isn't the same thing as free, but I will give you that it didn't require anything upfront at all.

Hot Rod,

Wrong M- country (think of the name of a certain 1962 film starring Frank Sinatra and Laurence Harvey) and wrong time (said M- country was no longer a conflict zone by 1941; the oil embargo was in response to Japanese military operations in the direction of SE Asia).

Although of course, the ultimate US attitude toward Japan was based on its cumulative aggressive acts in Asia, including the occupation of M- country and China proper.

It is more like 2000 miles from here to France.

Plus they were light years ahead of us in rockets and nuclear weapons. What saved us there was our attack on Norway's hard water plants and Hitler had too many other irons in the fire such as jet planes and tiger tanks.

What exactly that am I wrong about. You have about 3 to 4 other posters that counter you are incorrect with your revisions.

1. You claim that Germany was not a threat due to "mileage." Fundamentally wrong because they had the capability to do so. And were a threat to us in more ways than one that would interfere with out interests and security.

2. Due to the extension of "mileage" as to why Germany was not threat as well as Japan. Japan attacked us. At which shows they were capable and were a threat and they were considerably less powerful yet were able to attack us and cripple our Pacific fleet minus our carriers. Which contradicts that they were not a threat.

3. Lastly you're hot rod.

Apparently you don't understand the problem of initiating and sustaining a war effort over vast distances or even moderate distances.

Neither Japan nor Germany nor both had the ability to threaten the US. Hawaii and Alaska (neither of which was a state) were both way out there and exposed ... and Japan didn't come close to capturing either. They couldn't take them, and they sure as hell would have had no hope of holding them. They didn't have that type of capability. And the fucking Germans couldn't even invade the UK. You think they had a chance of doing it across an ocean?

Get serious!

murder

There's ~ 30 miles between England and France, and the Germans couldn't cross the channel ... but they were going to threaten the US?

The Germans did what they where capable of. They sent out subs and sunk ships. That's what they were capable of. And they didn't sink US ships for giggles. Again, we provoked those attacks.
