G7 in disarray after Trump rejects communique and attacks 'weak' Trudeau

Leaders believed they had a deal until the US president launched a personal attack on Canada’s prime minister

Donald Trump has left the G7 network of global cooperation in disarray after he pulled the US out of a previously agreed summit communique, blaming the Canadian prime minister Justin Trudeau whom he derided as “dishonest and weak”.

'My touch, my feel': Trump shows his contempt for G7 allies

The US president, who arrived at the summit in Canada late and left early to fly to Singapore to prepare for his summit with Kim Jong-un, shocked fellow leaders with a bellicose press conference on Saturday in which he attacked the trade policies of other countries.

The US had nevertheless appeared to agree a form of words on contentious issues thanks to an all-night negotiating session by officials from all sides.

But after leaving for Singapore, Trump tweeted personal attacks on Trudeau and said that he had told his representatives not to sign the summit communique, turning what had already been a tense meeting of the world’s leading industrialised democracies into a fiasco.

Clown Trump is now heading to Singapore for another meeting with Kim of the North Korea.

Will Trump reject an eventual deal made with North Korea too and tweet some personal attacks on Kim when he sits safe on his plane back home to America?

Another thing, why do countries even bother to meet with Trump/USA? The only ones he seems to get along with is with the King of Saudi Barbaria and ISIS.

Merkel, the Leader of the Free World, is leaning over Trump and telling him something. Clown Trump stares into a void that only he can see. He probably got tears in his throat and is thinking: "Wait until I sit safe on my plane, then I'm gonna make a tweet!!". Bolton is looking shocked.

Hot Rod and those you follow Trump are such idiots. Remember when they cried about "waaah Obama ruined our relationships with allies and other countries and made us a laughing stock and disrespected."

And look at us now of how we are viewed more than ever having this fucking moron as president. But since Hot Rod has been a moron virtually all of his life. He feels very content

Canadian farmers point out that despite the tariffs that protect them, imports make up 10% of the country’s dairy consumption. By contrast, the US restricts dairy imports to 3% of domestic consumption

Hot Rod, on most world affairs, local affairs, including economy and trade. You are once again displaying that you and also Trump apparently have no clue nor understanding of what supply management is.

Why do you think tariffs are high? Because the over-supply and produce of dairy products. But this is only history repeating itself in regards to you not ever wanting to do a little basic research to understand. Just only a phrase by your retarded messiah that we have as president.

It's like the time about coal miners and everyone jumped on that bandwagon as they still fail to understand it is a profession that is becoming obsolete and he still fucked over the mining industry.

But, you can still keep your lips attached to his boobs, hot rod. Rest of us will still keep thinking independently and stay educated.

Hot Rod wasn't worried that Obama ruined the relationship with Germany, Britain or France. He was worried and upset that Obama might ruin the relationship with Saudi Barbaria and Apartheid Israel.

The world is moving away from coal. Who is gonna buy all that coal? They gonna use it to heat the White House itself? Maybe Trump is gonna go back to locomotives with steam engines. lol

Fists of Anger!

France on G7: 'Fits of anger' cannot dictate international cooperation

France warned Sunday that "fits of anger" could not dictate international cooperation after US President Donald Trump abruptly rejected a joint statement agreed following a bad-tempered G7 summit in Canada.

"International cooperation cannot be dictated by fits of anger and throwaway remarks," President Emmanuel Macron's office said in a statement to AFP.

"We spend two days working out a (joint) statement and commitments. We are sticking to them and whoever reneges on them is showing incoherence and inconsistency.

"Let's be serious and worthy of our people. We make commitments and keep them," the presidency said, adding that "France and Europe maintain their support for this (G7) statement."
Minutes after the publication of a joint communique that was approved by Trump and other Group of Seven leaders at a summit in the city of Quebec, the US leader announced on Twitter that he was retracting his support.

In a flurry of tweets from Air Force One, en route to Singapore for a historic nuclear summit with North Korea's Kim Jong Un, Trump accused the summit host, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau of being "very dishonest".

He was reacting to Trudeau's declaration that Canadians would "not be pushed around" and would hit back at punishing US tariffs on metal imports with "equivalent tariffs".

"Based on Justin's false statements at his news conference, and the fact that Canada is charging massive Tariffs to our US farmers, workers and companies, I have instructed our US Reps not to endorse the Communique as we look at Tariffs on automobiles flooding the US Market!" Trump tweeted.

"PM Justin Trudeau of Canada acted so meek and mild during our @G7 meetings only to give a news conference after I left saying that ... he 'will not be pushed around.' Very dishonest & weak."

It was an outburst that literally came out of the blue.

In the hours after Donald Trump launched a personal Twitter attack on Justin Trudeau from Air Force One, Canadian officials were at a loss to explain the U.S. president's anger over statements the prime minister made during his news conference to close the G7 summit.

Nothing Trudeau said was new. The Prime Minister's Office later made that point in a statement, adding that Trudeau had made those comments privately to Trump as well.

After a tough week and a challenging summit, it was a victory for Trudeau that the leaders had managed to find consensus language on the difficult issue of trade.

The fragile consensus lasted about two hours before it was nuked by a tweet, as Trump made his way to Singapore for the North Korea nuclear summit.

Maybe someone should check Trump's health to see if he is okay.

"I have instructed our U.S. Reps not to endorse the communiqué as we look at tariffs on automobiles flooding the U.S. Market!," Trump tweeted."

So, if the US is looking at tariffs on automobiles, then why did the US even bother to show up at the G7? The US knows the position that the rest of the G7 has on trade. Was he only going there to insult Canada and the rest of USA's former allies?

Since Trump is refusing to sign the G7 communiqué, I guess the G7 now becomes the G6 as USA leaves the group. Right?

"There's a special place in hell for any foreign leader that engages in bad faith diplomacy with President Donald J. Trump and then tries to stab him in the back on the way out the door," White House Director of Trade Policy Peter Navarro said.

"And that's what bad faith Justin Trudeau did with that stunt press conference. That's what weak, dishonest Justin Trudeau did. And that comes right from Air Force One."

not sure what Trudeau said other than Canada wouldn't be pushed around & had criticism of the tariffs... but off to a special place in hell he goes i guess

^ Seems like Trump may have a very short memory. Maybe his brain is hurt or something.

Maybe someone should check Trump's health to see what it is and if he is really okay. Having a doctor to write a fake health report like he did last time is no longer sufficient.

Tariffs are protectionism and income for the State.

Maybe the reason Canada only imports 10% of their Dairy is the 270% tariff while the US only imports 3% of our dairy from Canada is that it is a crappy dairy.

There is not rebuttal needed. You posted an article. Which is nothing of consequence as you referred. The only thing displayed is your hypocrisy. But then again you are a trumptard and a pedophile.

Are you claiming original authorship for that little insult too?
