1. Complete and verifiable Denuclearzation.

2. No more Demilitarized Zone.

3. It will be known as "The Peace Zone."

4. The remains of the allied military will be returned.

5. We will stop our war games with South Korea.

6. That will save us millions of dollars.

7. We will withdraw our 38,000 troops eventually.

8. Kim will dismantle/destruct the facility that tests their rocket engines.

9. We have given up nothing at this point.

10. Except President Trump had 300 new sanctions to put against North Korea. But he held off and now he doesn't have to.

11. Once North Korea reaches the point of no return on their denuclearization The President will start removing the current sanctions.

12. President Trump believes the overall process will move along quite quickly.

13. ...and much, much more.

This was truly a remarkable day. Had I been asked I never would have thought I would live long enough to see it.

"1. Complete and verifiable Denuclearzation. "

False. WHy? Due to the nature and past history of us verifying it. This has similarities to the Iran deal that Trump was very critical of. In fact if you are to compare the deals. This is much worse for the US due to the logistical approach and nature of it. Especially this will not take place for years perhaps up to a decade.

"2. No more Demilitarized Zone."

Terrible concept and a strategic disadvantage. Leaves South Korea vulnerable as well as out interests.

"4. The remains of the allied military will be returned.

5. We will stop our war games with South Korea.

6. That will save us millions of dollars.

7. We will withdraw our 38,000 troops eventually. "

Again, if this occurs will leave a vulnerable region and us strategically at a disadvantage. Trump's press conference in his incoherent ramble made complaints about the expenditures of these military exercises. In fact it is only a mere fraction of cost to the military budget. To celebrate it is about the same as bragging about switching the geico. Meaningless.

"8. Kim will dismantle/destruct the facility that tests their rocket engines. "

No guarantees and another empty shell of intent. There was nothing concrete about this endeavor. A deal signed in 1985 between US and NK showed that relatively immediately after NK refused to let the IAEA. In 1992 SK and NK signed a denuclearization deal. NK ignored it and proceeded. I am more likely to believe that NK will not honor the treaty. But you specifically were very critical of Obama in regards to the Iran deal. Which facts actually show it was working. Versus the rhetoric from this administration declaring it wasn't while not providing proof of.

Can you point out in your "expertise" how this is going to be any different by those standards. Other than it is Trump and not completed by a colored man?

"9. We have given up nothing at this point. "

While you just posted in your previous points the intent of giving up things. As if you made this point that has any bearing.

"10. Except President Trump had 300 new sanctions to put against North Korea. But he held off and now he doesn't have to. "

History repeating itself. Look at the chronological history of interactions between US and NK in this regards. And that is what happened specifically in the 1990s where NK took advantage of that very thing and became more of a brutal regime while using it's sources for decades to create nuclear armaments and you think after all that effort and time they are going to simple "give up" that program. Hardly.

"11. Once North Korea reaches the point of no return on their denuclearization The President will start removing the current sanctions."

I find this one hard to believe. Trump presents himself as 'hardliner' because has conceded against others that threatens out national security. I.e. Russia, China. Trump yearns for this deal and is most likely going to give up something so he can use it to boost his ego while leaving the US in a more vulnerable position destabilizing the region in the process.

"12. President Trump believes the overall process will move along quite quickly. "

Trump is also a verifiable pathological liar and has reverse many processes that are going to leave the US in a more weaken state on various levels.

"This was truly a remarkable day. Had I been asked I never would have thought I would live long enough to see it. "

I remember another administration saying they would meet such leaders. But hardline republicans were very critical of the notion. Not sure as to why they were critical of him. Could it be maybe because they felt like his birth certificate wasn't real and he wasn't a US citizen. Or could it be he had a funny name?

I find it rathe amusing that when this concept was brought forth before and proactive steps were made. They were critical of Obama to even suggest it. Trump does this and suddenly he was one that should be allowed to do it.

Don't get me wrong. Any advancement of a goal to disarm a country of such deadly devices and programs is welcome. But attached should also be the history and their actions. All considerations should be made. This seems like a hastily made shallow agreement that NK can use as propaganda back to its nation as well as Trump using it in the same fashion. And if you are naïve to think that this one meeting is the solidification of anything substantial. You have another thing coming.

Answered already. Practically nothing.

Let's not forget now NK will spin this that America lost the war against NK and seek peace.

"Compare that to the $150 Billion that Obama gave Iran. BTW, that money did not go to the Iranian people. It went to their terrorist proteges. "

Please stop repeating falsehoods when it is complete much more to it than the rhetoric repeated by a known pathological liar that happens to be the current President. Unless you have other facts that pinpoint that US gave 150 billion dollars other than the frozen assets that originally belonged to Iran in the first place.

"I think he liked me and I like him and I understand the past, nobody has to tell me he’s a rough guy. He has to be a rough guy or he has been a rough person,” Trump told Van Susteren. “But we got along very well. He’s smart, loves his people, he loves his country.”

“But he’s starved them,” Van Susteren asserted, “He’s been brutal to them. He still loves his people?”

“Look, he’s doing what he’s seen done, if you look at it,” he said. “But, I really have to go by today and by yesterday and by a couple of weeks ago because that’s really when this whole thing started.”

OK. Just one question.

Since this is old news, please tell me which previous president put severe sanctions on NOKO and said they would keep them there until NOKO got rid of their nukes.

Now, there were only three presidents before Trump that was in office while NOKO was building their nukes. So it should be really simple.

Clinton, Bush 43, or Obama?

Which one?

delude

I will do you one better. What does this have to do with anything since what Trump and Kim agreed upon was virtually shit that mimics or is similar to past agreements and NK still continued to make or work on a nuclear program? How is this any different? Because Trump says he "believes" Kim? Or that he knows how to "feel a person" or that "This is what I do" as some keen insight to what the outcome of the future would be?

Looks like you failed history, ignoring what other people have been pointed out. Posters here, experts in the field and world affairs. In fact it does not take a scholar to deduce what will most likely will happen. Bunch of empty rhetoric; "we will work towards" which ironically is the same language used in past agreements with NK. Trump will ease sanctions while congress and senate will say they disagree with the approach until something substantiated. But no Trump will ignore it. Do it. Then NK will repeat and continuously work on their program, while at first welcome the IAEA, then turn them away.

If this happens, you should kill yourself because all this was is that history had repeated itself and Trump fell for it just like the previous other administrations.

I wonder if the Twitterman will institute a new G-4 of the USA, China, Russia.

This is quite a whirlwind year since the Inauguration. First any news coming from CNN, or any news source other than Fox and the National Enquirer is not to be trusted as it's all false.
Second, all previous treaties seem to be on their way out the door. We don't have to honor them because the Twitterman says so.
It seems that any of our previous allies that have fought along side us in previous wars are now suspect and no longer our allies and trading partners.
We are now supposed to be best buddies with our new allies Russia, China, N. Korea. Those wonderful freedom loving regimes.
If they are good enough for the Twitterman, then you better believe that they are good enough for you.

"ou can start by looking up how much of their trade has been cut off by all countries including China and Russia."

Also precisely my point. There have been multitude of sanctions placed on North Korea. By EU, UN, various of countries including use that started back in the 1980s. Again, source has been provided.

You are wanting to subjectively argue severity. Again, that is opinion based from your perspective and since you introduced this as part of your argument. Then what is the criteria for it. Or are you having a hard time grasping what criteria is as the basis for your claim of 'severity.'

Thus far you have been unable to do that. Either because you don't understand words, or that you are too emotionally charged to think of a rational explanation. Either or, I await your thought process as to why sanctions placed since the 1980s are not as 'severe' as the ones currently in placed?

As pointed out there was an enhance policy of sanctions placed when Obama was president. That indicates that it was a higher level of sanctions.

So go ahead...do your best because this is pretty pathetic even by your own standards.

Another element to add. Feel free to count with your "FACT."

Compared with Trump, previous presidents extracted more concessions from N. Korea, experts say

When President Bill Clinton struck a landmark deal with North Korea in 1994, the isolated nation agreed to take a variety of specific steps that included freezing and later dismantling its nuclear program, as well as opening its facilities to international inspectors.

When President George W. Bush forged a deal in 2005, North Korea promised to abandon all of its nuclear weapons programs and return to the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons.

On Tuesday, when President Trump unveiled his agreement, he excoriated past presidents for failing to make the issue a “priority” and hailed his own document as “very, very comprehensive.”

But scholars say the joint statement signed by Trump and Kim Jong Un reduces North Korea’s commitments to just one sentence: a pledge to “work toward complete denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula.”

“It is the most watered-down joint statement concerning these two nations ever,” said Sung-Yoon Lee, a North Korea expert at Tufts University.

ROFL!

"Critics of the joint statement say the United States walked into a trap that will spell the end of the “maximum pressure” campaign designed to isolate and extract concessions from Pyongyang.

“It’s a victory for North Korea, in having initiated an open-ended, drawn-out negotiation process that ensnares the U.S. into not enforcing sanctions,” said Lee.

But Lee said the brittleness of the agreement might make it easy for Trump to abandon.
“This hollow, nonbinding joint statement allows Trump to walk away from it, because there’s nothing to walk away from,” said Lee. “The question is, will Trump have the fortitude to admit he was duped?”

Uh oh Trumptards about to have a breakdown.

**1993: June 11th

1)Assurance against the threat and the use of force, including nuclear weapons

2)Peace and Security in a nuclear-free Korean Peninsula, including impartial application of full-scope safeguards, mutual respect for each other’s sovereignty, and non-interference in each other’s internal affairs

3)Support for the peaceful reunification of Korea

**1994: Agreed Framework Joint statement

The United States and North Korea committed to move toward normalizing economic and political relations, including by reducing barriers to investment, opening liaison offices, and ultimately exchanging ambassadors.

Both sides commit not to nuclearize the Korean Peninsula. The United States must "provide formal assurances" not to threaten or use nuclear weapons against North Korea. Pyongyang is required to "consistently take steps" to implement the 1992 North-South Joint Declaration on the Denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula.

**2000:

Joint Communique

Building on the principles laid out in the June 11, 1993 U.S.-D.P.R.K. Joint Statement and reaffirmed in the October 21, 1994 Agreed Framework, the two sides agreed to work to remove mistrust, build mutual confidence, and maintain an atmosphere in which they can deal constructively with issues of central concern. In this regard, the two sides reaffirmed that their relations should be based on the principles of respect for each other's sovereignty and non-interference in each other's internal affairs, and noted the value of regular diplomatic contacts, bilaterally and in broader fora.
The two sides agreed to work together to develop mutually beneficial economic cooperation and exchanges. To explore the possibilities for trade and commerce that will benefit the peoples of both countries and contribute to an environment conducive to greater economic cooperation throughout Northeast Asia, the two sides discussed an exchange of visits by economic and trade experts at an early date.
The two sides agreed that resolution of the missile issue would make an essential contribution to a fundamentally improved relationship between them and to peace and security in the Asia-Pacific region. To further the efforts to build new relations, the D.P.R.K. informed the U.S. that it will not launch long-range missiles of any kind while talks on the missile issue continue.
Pledging to redouble their commitment and their efforts to fulfill their respective obligations in their entirety under the Agreed Framework, the US and the D.P.R.K. strongly affirmed its importance to achieving peace and security on a nuclear weapons free Korean Peninsula. To this end, the two sides agreed on the desirability of greater transparency in carrying out their respective obligations under the Agreed Framework. In this regard, they noted the value of the access which removed U.S. concerns about the underground site at Kumchang-ri.
The two sides noted that in recent years they have begun to work cooperatively in areas of common humanitarian concern. The D.P.R.K. side expressed appreciation for significant U.S. contributions to its humanitarian needs in areas of food and medical assistance. The U.S. side expressed appreciation for D.P.R.K. cooperation in recovering the remains of U.S. servicemen still missing from the Korean War, and both sides agreed to work for rapid progress for the fullest possible accounting. The two sides will continue to meet to discuss these and other humanitarian issues.
As set forth in their Joint Statement of October 6, 2000, the two sides agreed to support and encourage international efforts against terrorism.

Dwayne Elizondo Mountain Dew Herbert Camacho was less concerned about his personal image than Trump... Trump is willing to smear anyone & anything for his own ego
(intel agencies, courts, judges, justice dept, any media not praising him, any politicians not agreeing with him, etc)

If NK is no longer a nuclear threat, then why does it have to disarm ahead of other nuclear powers?

There is no end to the mistakes trump makes.

Well now Trump is apparently pledging to end sanctions.

It appears that history is repeating itself, the only difference? Trump legitimized the regime versus other administrations. A strong criticism that always has been a factor for the previous Presidents.

My point was that he has done more than so - he has legitimized NK having a nuclear arsenal.

If it is no longer a nuclear threat, then what is all the huffah about?

HR
What details? NK has nukes like many others and is no longer a nuclear threat according to Trump.

This fundamentally undermines the logic of the sanction regime.

jergul - What details?

"The details" consist of making every single one of their nukes and missiles public and dismantling/destroying them where they are no longer functional.

Plus the equipment and data on how to build the stuff.

Hot Rod, I am going to presume you've learned your lesson. Due to your avoidance. I will accept that as your concession.

Yep, HR being HR. Hit with facts. Can't defend them. Claim you're a multi, while ignore content provided that completely destroys the narrative. And he wonders why till this day he is constantly ridiculed.

I figured it would end this way. It's too predictable. I was only merely offering an opportunity to state your case. There was no substance to what you were saying anyways. Your main argument was subjective based on the totality of the circumstances.
