Wife doesn't want me working at all but I have a few things I want to do and you need more money than we get to do them. Got a nice tit job starting next week. Riding around in a support truck for road side mowing operation. Perfect for me. Will pay the cost of getting my pick up back in shape to pass inspection. Plus hopefully enough to finish my work shop the way I want. Can't stand in one spot for too long and my knees begin to ache. Part of being 74 I guess.

We can only know based on how likely a UPer is to tell stories that don't go anywhere, like the time I caught the ferry over to Shelbyville. I needed a new heel for my shoe. So I decided to go to Morganville, which is what they called Shelbyville in those days. So I tied an onion to my belt, which was the style at the time. Now! To take the ferry cost a nickel, and in those days nickles had pictures of bumblebees on them. "Give me five bees for a quarter," you'd say. Now, where were we? Ah yes. The important thing was that I had an onion on my belt, which was the style at the time. They didn't have white onions because of the war. The only thing you could get was those big yellow ones.

patom Member	Mon Jun 18 15:25:22 I grew up listening to the end of the swing era and the very beginnings of the rock and roll era. I saw Dick Clark's very first hosting of Bandstand. That was before it went National and was still shown from West Philly. The previous host had been caught with some of the young girls down on the Jersey shore, over the weekend and Clark was an assistant producer on the show. He was an immediate hit.

Our living room was filled with all the neighbors and their kids crammed in to watch a 10 inch screen. Mylton Berle. Eddie Cantor, I still remember hearing "The Shadow" on radio. I can remember seeing NASCAR in it's infancy at the Langhorne Speedway in 49. Murder, do your ears a favor and down load Benny Goodmans 1939 Carnegie Hall Concert. No fancy computerized music. Just the real thing from real musicians.

Murder, if you don't listen to another cut on that album, listen to 'Sing, Sing, Sing'. It is an improve where the music was never written down. Listen close to Harry James Trumpet, Benny's licorice stick and the incredible, out of this world drums of Gene Kruppa. The Masters, Master on the skins.
