Utopia Talk / Politics / Make America Nazi Free Again

Remember when this was a thing? Bitches waved their sandy vaginas around getting upset that a game about killing Nazis set in the US would use a slogan like that for promotional material. They were offended. Why? I still don't know why...

But Wolfenstein: the New Collosus was a damn fun game. Placing a handaxe right down the nose of a Nazi bitch is pretty exhilarating. Make America Nazi Free again indeed. And a facepalm again to everyone who shat bricks over that whole kerfuffle.

People did not like the marketing because it was a play on MAGA and implied trump and his supporters are fascists.

"People did not like the marketing because it was a play on MAGA and implied trump and his supporters are fascists."

It really didn't. It was a play on MAGA, yes. But it was quite literally about ridding the US of Nazis. In a fictional alternate history. And the game was a bloody killfest of headshots, axes to the back, face, chest, knees...

Let's not pretend that lines haven't been intentionally blurred against political opposition.

Hell, even the HOA asshole checking IDs is now a monstrous racist who deserved to lose his job.

Yes, we all know it's a fictional Nazi-killing game, and no one cares about that. By most accounts it's a pretty good game. Clearly they care that it fed into a Twitter-verse narrative that was especially fever-pitched at the time, following Charlottesville, but that has most definitely gone away. It was that play on MAGA that had people pissed off.

http://www...ompares-trump-voters-to-nazis/

The left has been pushing the narrative that trump voters are nazis. A game comes out that advertises a play on MAGA, tying it to nazis. Not really difficult to see qhy people who voted for trump would be reactionary whenever they get compared to nazis.

They weren't being tied to Nazis though. You're the fucking artist. You cannot ignore the pure marketing genius in taking a game where you literally spend 90% of the game playing terrorist in America against a Nazi regime. Not American Nazis, either, but straight up German 3rd Reich, carry overs from the war, Nazis.

Yes, stupid people got offended because they have no fucking mental capacity to see the difference between people calling Trump supporters Nazis and an ad borrowing a slogan for both cultural and thematic reference. Y'all, besides hot rod, should be a bit less retarded than all the stupids.

And forwyn, it was quite a fun game. If you played New Order, New Collosus was just as great.

Well it is a culture war and whether it was intended or not wolfenstein picked a side and alienated at least half of its target audience.

Snowflakes got offended. Everyone seems to discard it when people on the left get offended at stupid shit. Y'all now shitting bricks because tards on the right pulled a stupid. You should really look inward and consider you're exactly the crap you hate on.

And you should all go kill some Nazis.

"wolfenstein picked a side and alienated at least half of its target audience. "

No, people alienated themselves because as hood pointed out, 'snowflakes' and some have party themselves to perpetuate it without being able to put things in perspective.

A combination of pseudo-journalists, trumptards, and snowflakes.

Yeah, it was pretty stupid to pick the SJW side. Gamergate was a big enough issue for "boycotts" to occur. Not sure how effective they were but at some point the gaming industry will suffer from getting lefty politics the same way democrats suffered from embracing identity politics. People will get tired of it and go to something else that doesn't insult them.
