Neuf points sur dix!

The good:
The charming city atmosphere
The architecture
The french people
The food
The wine

The bad:
Too many tourists
A bit more expensive than in Stockholm

So I was in Paris for five days. I never thought there was so many Chinese in Paris. They are everywhere. It is like they have invaded Paris. And they walk around like they own the city – they come in hordes, holding selfie sticks, and blocking the path for us regular and legit Europeans. But I got some "revenge" at the Chinese when I was at the Château de Versailles. I needed to go to the toilet and do the number 2, you know. It was a restroom for both ladies/gentlemen. So I went inside and sat down on a toilet in a stall/booth. Then I hear some American women and they are starting to comment on that this is a toilet for both ladies and gentlemen, like they knew that there was a man taking a shit inside one of the toilets. I got a worried that it smelled bad so I started to sniff, but it didn't smell anything. But I waited to exit the toilet until the American women had left. I didn't want them to see me coming out from the toilet.

When I exited the booth a Chinese (of course) woman was standing outside and waiting to get in to use the toilet that I had just crapped in. I don't think it smelled bad, but if you have just taken a shit it's inevitable that it does not smell anything. So I thought to myself that well here's my "revenge" for all the annoying Chinese tourists. Actually, the only thing that was annoying about them was that there were so many of them all over the city. Where ever you went there was Chinese tourists.

Now afterwards, it's also fun to be able to say that I have taken a shit at the Château de Versailles – the same castle that Marie-Antoinette has lived in. I have taken a shit there. So I am a part of castle's history now. It's maybe not something I'm gonna tell my grandchildren, so that's why I'm telling it here so at least a few people knows about it :)

I was also a bit surprised to see so many non-tourist Asians (working and living) in Paris and speaking what sounded to me like fluent french. Most of them were probably from Korea, China and maybe some from Japan. What's up with that... are they planning to secretly conquer France and then the rest of Europe?

There were also quite many Africans in Paris. I didn't speak with many of them but the few who I spoke to were friendly, as the Parisians themselves were. Very friendly people. Most french spoke helpful english, and they were happy to practice their english.

I had prepared myself with some french phrases like:

Bonjour
Je ne parle pas français
Je voudrais un biere
Merci beaucoup
L'addition s'il vous plait?

...but the only french I needed to use was like Bonjour and Merci. I like how the french women said "Bonjour, monsieur" to me. Sometimes they swapped the words and started by saying Monsieur followed by Bonjour. Like they were saying "My gentleman, hello". Anyhow, I liked it either way. There were some hot french women in Paris. But I never got laid with any of them. I only had five days after all, and I traveled with a girlfriend, so... maybe in my next life.

A dream would be to have sex with a french lady, from behind, holding her long dark hair in one hand and resting my other hand on her ass cheek, and she's like speaking to me in french: "Oui monsieur, oui". Or any position really, as long as she is speaking french to me.

The only blacks that disturbed me for a brief moment was a group of black American women at the Louvre museum. They were a bit loud, like they thought they were still in the Bronx or something and not at the Musée du Louvre in Paris.

I don't know where all the "bad" Arabs were at that everyone has been talking about? Maybe most of them live in the suburbs outside of Paris.

Overall, I really liked Paris. A charming city. We stayed at a cute hotel in the 9th arrondissement, not that far from Moulin Rogue and Sacre Coeur. Great location and area. I'm not sure that I would want to live there permanently. But for 1-3 months, yes, or to just go there over the weekends to enjoy the food, the wine, and the walks along the Seine river and getting lost in the many narrow and small streets of Paris. The best part is that Paris is only 2,5 hours flight away from Stockholm. I only miss that I didn't get to eat any moule mariniere or moule a la creme(?) with french fries. And we didn't watch a show at the Moulin Rogue. But if I visit Paris again this will be my priority, because I have already done all the "touristy things" in Paris now.

Next trip is gonna be to Japan, I hope. Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka, etc. And then maybe when there is a new president in the US, I would want to go to New York also, and perhaps San Fransisco. And then we have Scotland and Ireland. It would be fun to visit these countries. And Italy. Rome and Venice. There's so many places to see. I wish I had millions of dollars.

French wine sucks. French people suck. The tourists suck but they are better than the locals (who are >80% African).

"Next trip is gonna be to Japan, I hope."

Maybe you can talk your way into the Imperial Palace and take a shit there too.

Japan is totally cool though. A nice clean country, nice people, good food. Shockingly few Africans/Muslims/etc.

Gotta travel to the less obvious places. Everyone goes to Paris. Mix it up.

That said, I was in Rome last week as part of a 10 hour stopover. I heard more English than Italian, and half the tour guides were Indian.

If you want good wine, try Napa Valley.

Is that American wine? It sounds like it could be Californian?

Hot Rod is probably trying to get me to buy wine from one of Trump’s wine yards?

If it was almost anyone else, you could probably take the comment at face value - Napa Valley does have some good wines.

However, because it's Retard Rod, you probably also need to account for the fact that it's most likely all he knows. So you've got Retard Rod's, "Derp, 'Murica, 'MURICA, derp," mindset on top if it.

I have thought about it. It would be sweet to be able to travel the world with my camera and then write stories or even vlog about it. I have to have a theme though. Maybe strip clubs. Or something that makes me meet a lot of women in each country I visit :)

Yes, it is California wine and I have tried French wines and Portuguese and Italian.

I just like Napa Valley wines. I drank a great deal of it in the 14 years I lived in San Francisco.

And I am sure that I drank all of the major labels and enjoyed every one.

Paramount. Try any of these labels.

Mondavi
Christian Brothers
Gallo

Those are three of the best.

You might find this interesting.

"As the quality of Californian wine improved, the region started to receive more international attention. A watershed moment for the industry occurred in 1976 when British wine merchant Steven Spurrier invited several Californian wineries to participate in a blind tasting event in Paris. It was to compare the best of California with the best of Bordeaux and Burgundy - two famous French wine regions. In an event known as The Judgment of Paris, Californian wines shocked the world by sweeping the wine competition in both the red and white wine categories. Throughout the wine world, perspectives about the potential of California wines started to change."

I don’t drink a whole lot of wine. But I have drank some wine from the USA before of course.

McManis is among the best red wine that I have tasted. Not sure if it was McManis Petite Sirah, or McManis Pinot Noir. Probably the Petite Sirah.

I don’t buy those expensive bottles. The most I’m willing to pay for a bottle is like 50-60 dollars. A bottle of McManis cost like 10 dollars in Sweden.

It's amazing, but not really shocking, that reducing the barriers of travel has really killed the romanticism around some of the major cities.

Versailles is a tourist trap, you can't be surprised at the hordes of tourists.

It's a place where a good tour guide pays off. Half of the value of our tour guide was enforcing the fuck out of people who didn't have common sense or manners.

"It's amazing, but not really shocking, that reducing the barriers of travel has really killed the romanticism around some of the major cities."

That's not the problem. It's a lack of contextualism. People are just, frankly, ignorant, uneducated, Adhd-suffering consumerist human filth.

What is there for them to appreciate or romantize other than the 2.3 second clips they're shown in movies, or generic tourist TV

Every morning my 80 y o granny neighbors dien here onvthe riviera say, bonjour monsieur, ca va? and I say, bonjour madame! C'est une belle journee!

France is fairly old style actual conservatism, ie, courtesy and common civility is still important. Also, wines are of course excellent here
