So Jessica Price has returned to twitter, and she has now decided to use the functionality on twitter.

She has also doubled down and continued to shit on the gaming industry, making herself radioactive and unemployable for the forseeable future on any major game companies.

She was never fit for the job as she has explained she does not want to deal with customers. Which is fair, but it is also fair that certain positions and companies require this from you.

Now the racist that the NY Times has employed.

The New York Times is standing by its hiring of tech writer Sarah Jeong despite several derogatory tweets of hers aimed at white people, which were recently unearthed on her Twitter account.

“Oh man it's kind of sick how much joy I get out of being cruel to old white men,” Jeong wrote in July 2014 in one of several old messages that have gone viral.

Social media reactions first flared on Wednesday with images of incendiary tweets from an unverified Twitter account that looked to belong to Jeong. They surfaced shortly after The Times announced she was joining the paper. The Times issued a statement on Thursday declaring that it had reviewed her social media history during the hiring process and was standing by the decision to bring her aboard.

“We hired Sarah Jeong because of the exceptional work she has done … her journalism and the fact that she is a young Asian woman have made her a subject of frequent online harassment. For a period of time she responded to that harassment by imitating the rhetoric of her harassers,” The Times said in a statement. “She regrets it, and The Times does not condone it.”

lol, I googled this woman because I have never heard of her before. And the first result I get is this headline:

"NYT Supports New Hire Sarah Jeong After Alt-Right Trolls Accuse Her of 'Racist' Tweets"

Wherein the article says she made comments targeting the "alt-right." I guess the definition of alt-right has expanded to include literally all white people. Interesting, but not surprising.

Her defense is that she was trolling alt-right online harassers. It would be like trolling Black lives matter trolls and say you 'like to see black men suffer'. Which I think even if trolling, is racist. But I think NY Times just like other organization have the right to recruit racists.

Her defense is, "they did it first!" But who is "they?" All white people?

She defends herself thus: "I can understand how hurtful these posts are out of context."

Um, there was no goddamn "context." They were tweets with no reference to anything else.

I'm not going to pretend that I'm offended by this. Don't really give a shit, and in fact it's actually refreshing to see a major media corporation decline to torpedo somebody's career because of some ancient social media BS. Good on the NYT, imo.

i don’t at all believe sarah jeong’s narrative that she faced a “torrent” of online abuse and then adopted the rhetoric of her “frequent” harassers..

she cites *two* racist tweets at her sep/oct 2014.. which is after much of her controversial tweeting occurred..

paramater and likely keyword searches [such as ‘to:sarahjeong “asians”’] seem to turn up essentially nothing hostile directed at her [other than the two cited tweets.. and meaning prior to at least 2015]..

one day in 2014 someone called her a feminist “bitch” along with “racist punk”.. but again not before jeong’s online behavior gave reason to think so..

i haven’t seen her defenders circulating any more evidence of this original “torrent” of “frequent” harassment either [besides the two sep/oct 2014 tweets].. and her defenders are obviously digging through old tweets for their case.. and not just antis/skeptics

jeong’s racist trolling posts also arent replies @ accounts.. which isnt helping believability

also.. im not finding evidence rania khalek called down “dogpile” in 2014.. as jeong accused her in 2016 [and was in turn called “pathological liar”]
