This is the name of a device I just came across.

Fishing rod.

No point to this, I just thought Hot Rod might get a chuckle out of it.

A fishing rod is a long, flexible rod used to catch fish. At its simplest, a fishing rod is a simple stick or pole attached to a line ending in a hook (formerly known as an angle, hence the term angling). The length of the rod can vary between 2 and 20 feet (0.61 and 6.10 m). To entice fish, bait or lures are impaled on one or more hooks attached to the line. The line is generally stored on a reel which reduces tangles and assists in landing a fish.

If you don't like fishing you could try going out in the park and feed the birds as an activity.

It is important to activate yourself when you get older and not to sit at home all days long.

Do you have breadcrumbs at home? If not then maybe you can borrow some from one of your neighbors.

Just don't do this in a metro area. There's no greater sin than stuffing pigeons full of pigeon shit and letting them shit over everything and everyone.

Also Hot Rod is living on government cheese. So I don't really like the idea of him wasting his taxpayer-subsidized food on rats with wings (that will then come and shit on my head). But it's his handout. He's entitled to it and can do whatever he wants.

There's better hobbies than feeding birds anyway. Flying kites. Tai chi. Do puzzles. Read Fox News.
