the water runs out. Consider this, (Im not putting this forward as a hypothetical, this is a prediction)

In about 20 years time, all the damns in all the nations will run out of water (global warming is a bitch), all the farms will fail to produce a crop, all the grocery stores will run out of stock, all the companies will go bust, all the people will sit around waiting for all the government to do something, and nothing will be done.

How do we see world war 4 playing out?

20 years is a somewhat exaggerated timeline. We have about 20 to 40 years before it becomes irreversible depending on the force feedback loops thqt are ocurring.

Rich countries will have food and water. Everyone else will struggle including poorer people in the Western world.

yea, 20 years was being positive, when I run some numbers, I come up with 7 years. when I say government will do nothing, they could build desalination plants, but I have heard nothing yet, here in australi we are seeing a repeat of the last decade. In november 2010, we got the announcment that there was three weeks water left in our dams, then we got a flood... hallelujah. I guess most people think thats going to happen again; I can assure you, it won't. The water is going to run out, you are going to starve to death, and we are going to kill each other, and eat each other and drink each others blood to survive. It should make for some interesting sit coms.

Best of luck, I'll see you on the other side, if you are going to drink blood, make sure they're young and sweet, and have no vaginal warts.

Third world countries like India and Pakistan, all of Africa. They'll suffer.

Iraq and Afghanistan too. I see Egypt failing to build infrastructure in time. Honestly not sure about Iran and Syria. Iran desperately needs to secure its water future.

The US will suffer, but Canada will wring itself dry to sustain it until we decide enough is enough and let you die.

In the end, unless America invades Canada for our water, we'll be the last nation standing. Largest reserves of fresh water in the world

Mm yes that afro-asian dry patch. There are plans in Iran for desalination in the Caspian and pipelines to Fars, but don’t think it has started.

If things continue as they are now the Ogallala Aquifer in many places will be depleted meaning the farmers will have to switch from corn to either dry land wheat or sunflowers and switch from cotton to hemp.

GOOD, you are eating yourselves fat on corn starch and hemp is a much more efficient and useful plants. You can eat the seeds for good fat and protein, you can smoke it, make cloths and all kinds of materials from it.

Smoking hemp will get you nothing. Hemp is not marijuana. But yeah hemp should be a staple crop in the United States.

The corn grown in the area I am commenting on is mostly field corn and is used for feeding cattle. because the field corn can also be used to make ethanol corn prices are up so more corn is planted. The corn grown in Iowa and Indiana is sweet corn and is what we eat. That area gets enough rain they do not need to irrigate as much.

A lot of farmers are actively trying to reduce the amount of water they use. Unfortunately large corporate farms have the mentality of get the money while the getting is good and are actually increasing water use to increase yield.

Kind of a funny coincidence but earlier today a former state representative called and asked me if I could print some data out for him. There is a large ranch near the Oklahoma/Colorado border that was recently sold and the new owners want to drill 57 new wells. They are being sued over and I guess the data I am going to print will be used in the case.
