Hot Rod Revved Up	Sun Sep 23 08:06:36 U.S. sheriffs crowdfunding for border wall. ‘We will not sit idly by,’ one in NC says By Joe Marusak jmarusak@charlotteobserver.com September 19, 2018 08:29 PM Updated September 19, 2018 09:23 PM At a recent meeting at the White House with President Donald Trump, sheriffs from across the country announced a crowdfunding site to help raise money for a wall at the U.S.-Mexico border. “We will not sit idly by while our neighborhoods become more dangerous and the citizens we serve face greater risk,” NC’s Rockingham County Sheriff Sam Page said in a news release Wednesday announcing the crowdfunding site. “If we fail to secure our sovereign borders, every Sheriff in America will become a ‘Border Sheriff.’” Page was the only NC sheriff at the meeting with Trump this month, Sgt. Kevin Suthard, spokesman for the Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office, said in an email to The Charlotte Observer Wednesday. Page was unaware of any SC sheriff being at the meeting, according to Suthard. Page joined 42 other sheriffs from 35 states in announcing the National Sheriffs’ Association crowdfunding website,***** www.SheriffsWall.org *****. Is it because all of their power lines are above grounds? You would think they would have put them underground since they are a perfect target for a hurricane. Besides the only complaints, I have heard coming from there was voiced by the Mayor or governor, I forget which, and he is a Democrat. patom, you guys need to realize that any and all Democrats that are in an official capacity are not to be believed. They hate Trump and will not miss a chance to pass up a chance to insult him or anyone connected with his administration. Just look at what they are doing to Judge Kavanaugh. Everyone that knew him has nothing but praise for him except for the one that is charging him and she has given many thousands of dollars to Democratic candidates. Plus she doesn't know when or where the incident supposedly took place and everyone she said was there doesn't remember anything about it.
