In 2016 there was two lists. One had eleven names and one had ten names. 2017 those lists were combined into one. Obviously they were not complete because five more names were added later in 2017. Kavanaugh was one of the five added later.
Making the list late doesn't mean he isn't qualified. Most Democrats didn't argue his qualifications instead concentrating on his character.

The American Bar Association had him listed as well qualified right up to the day after Ford gave her little speech then said they were rethinking that based on his temperament. The reevaluation has nothing to do with his views on the law.

Democrats didn't argue his credentials nor qualifications because they knew there was nothing there to argue. They tried to scare people with Roe v Wade for a bit but they knew before they started down that road Roe v Wade isn't going to be put in jeopardy.

All they had as weapons against Kavanaugh was emotional pleas and character assassinations.

Support the PATRIOT ACT?
Support NSA domestic spying?
Support the president being effectively immune to punishment while in office?
Support consolidation of executive branch powers (think: every single agency in the fed) all onto the president?
Support massive overreach of "first amendment protections"?

The only issue on your list I looked into is the presidential immunity issue and that one is so convoluted and twisted by those who opposed him that it is silly. You might want to go read the actual opinion and not the one or two sentences the Democrats provided for you.

Hot Rod if you are pro life you might want to reconsider. Turning the issue to the states works both ways. If the federal government is unable to tell a state they can't ban abortion they also can't tell a state they can't allow third trimester abortions. I doubt any state would outright ban abortion but they may make it much more difficult to get an abortion. Outright banning abortion might cause an exodus of businesses from the state.
For the women who live in states where abortions are hard to obtain there would be a network set up to get them to states with lenient abortion laws. Soros wouldn't have to spend money to protest states that ban abortion he could just pump funds into organizations that would help women get to the nearest state where they could have their abortion.

I think abortion is morally wrong in almost every case but I don't think government has any business legislating morals (to a point some argue slavery was a moral issue) so I don't think the government should ban abortions. I am also a states rights believer so if the government is going to ban abortions it should do so at the state level.

I have always been conflicted by the issue. Like you, I believe in States Rights, but more.

I hate and despise abortion, but at the same time, I believe each individual is sovereign, including women. They have the absolute right to make decisions about their own bodies.

Actually, I don't think it will ever be overthrown.

The Democrats will never overturn it because they hate and despise the Black folks and the Democrats will never allow the Republicans to overthrow it for the same reason.

Had they argued the issues I would have been more inclined to look into those issues. I did look at his opinions on issues that didn't make your list because they were of interest to me and others piqued my curiosity.

I did go look at some of his opinions on the NSA and phone records in particular since my last post and I don't agree with his views on that one. Doesn't mean he will suck as a Supreme Court Justice though. Just means I found something where my opinions are different than his.
