I agree not much of a probability that the speech changed the votes but it didn't hurt either. And it was a good speech. The part where she tied into whoever gave the letter to the press made me laugh.

She realized how evil they are and then she wanted nothing to do with them. Must have shot themselves in the mouth. Otherwise, how would all of that shit come streaming out?

Take the four boys and her friend you can leave the judge out and still have four witnesses. The accused would if he was there also be a witness in the literal sense of the word. He wouldn't be a witness in a court of law but we have all pointed out many times this wasn't a court case.
