It looks like more and more Americans are becoming homeless in Trump's America. It's a deepening crisis. Trump will send taxpayers dollars to Saudi Barbaria, Apartheid Israel and Shithole Egypt. But he won't make America better for Americans.

Homeless in US: A deepening crisis on the streets of America

They seem to be almost everywhere, in places old and new, no age spared. Sleeping on cardboard or bare ground, the homeless come together under bridges and trees, their belongings in plastic bags symbolising lives on the move.

Many have arrived on the streets just recently, victims of the same prosperity that has transformed cities across the US West Coast. As officials struggle to respond to this growing crisis, some say things are likely to get worse.

Lack of capital controls in a world full of liquidity. Chinese billionaires explode the value of homes in California by seeking to buy "safe" assets. Cities have all the jobs but also attract extra liquidity causing housing to be unaffordable.

Booming demand in an area with limited housing offers quickly drove the cost of living up, and those who were financially on the limit lost the ability they once had to afford a place.

"Even though the economy has never been stronger," Mayor Ted Wheeler, a Democrat, said, "inequality [is] growing at an alarming rate and the benefits from a [growing] economy are increasingly concentrated in fewer and fewer hands... We have increasing disparity all across the United States, and that's definitely impacting people."

^ It doesn’t sound like they have problem with drugs. It sounds like america has a problem with inequality and that maybe Bernie Sanders is the cure.

There are many problems that bring about homeless people.
Many have mental illness and no means to gain access to psychiatric care. Public Mental Hospitals are a thing of the past that were mostly emptied and shut down 40 years ago. The only place you can find psychiatric care givers in any real numbers is in the larger urban areas. Even then you probably can't afford them if you can get an appointment.

Many just can't afford the higher rents that are being demanded in the urban areas where they work and can't afford the transportation costs involved in commuting from lower rent areas. Or in states like Calif. public transportation is not near what it is on the East coast.
