So first Saudi Barbaria murders and dismember a critic, ISIS-style. Then Saudi Barbaria threatens USA and the rest of the world:

Saudi Arabia signaled on Sunday it may use its clout in the world economy to retaliate against any punitive measures, in an apparent reaction to U.S. President Donald Trump’s threat to punish the world’s largest oil-exporter over the disappearance of a government critic.

“The kingdom emphasizes that it will respond to any measure against it with an even stronger measure,” the Foreign Ministry said in a statement. “The kingdom’s economy has an influential and vital role in the global economy.”

Trump has vowed “severe punishment” should Saudi Arabia be linked to the disappearance of Jamal Khashoggi, who hasn’t been seen since he entered the kingdom’s consulate in Istanbul on Oct. 2 to pick up a document for his upcoming wedding. In an excerpt from an interview with CBS’s “60 Minutes” to be broadcast on Sunday night, Trump said: “It’s being looked at very, very strongly. We would be very upset and angry if that was the case.”

Britain’s Independent newspaper also reported on Friday that U.K. officials have begun drawing up a list of Saudi officials who could face sanctions pending investigations into Khashoggi’s fate.

Why hasn’t Trump tweeted that his button is larger than the Saudis non-existant button?

And it will hurt China really bad. China is the one that imports Saudi oil. US motorists will pay 5 bucks a gallon if they cut off the spigot. Chinese motorists won't be able to buy oil for any price.

the Saudis treated Trump like a king, they pay him large sums of money, & Trump loves his arms deal (w/ fake figures as usual)

there was no chance Trump was ever going to show any anger

i'm surprised Saudis didn't claim they were framed by Turkey, Trump would've eaten that shit up

http://www...vacuum-if-us-imposes-sanctions

A top state-linked Saudi media figure has warned that imposing US sanctions on Riyadh in response to the Khashoggi crisis could lead to Russia opening a military base in the kingdom.

The general manager of a Saudi-state-owned media company published an op-ed Sunday suggesting that if the U.S. imposes sanctions in response to the disappearance of Washington Post columnist Jamal Khashoggi, the situation will get so dire that Saudi Arabia would allow Russia to install a military base in the nation.

President Trump suggested that “rogue killers” could have been behind the disappearance of a Saudi dissident journalist, as he dispatched his secretary of state to Riyadh to meet with Saudi King Salman.

Yeah, whatever the actual strategic value of such a base, let's not pretend that the prospect of it wouldn't result in a total meltdown in DC.

"i'm surprised Saudis didn't claim they were framed by Turkey"

Or that a team of Iranian seals hijacked the guy from the consulate and flew him to Iran where he was killed by hanging.

”Why don't turkey and Saudi Arabia both just blame isis? Or the kurds?”

Or the jews. Actually Trump is on the same track. He thinks that it is someone else who killed that guy. Rogue killers. It could be the jews. Who knows?

”US President Donald Trump said Monday that "rogue killers" could be to blame for the disappearance of a dissident Saudi journalist and said that the oil-rich state's monarch emphatically denies involvement.

"The denial was very, very strong," Trump told reporters at the White House after talking to King Salman by telephone. "It sounded to me like maybe these could have been rogue killers. Who knows?"

Just spoke with the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia who totally denied any knowledge of what took place in their Turkish Consulate. He was with Secretary of State Mike Pompeo...

...during the call, and told me that he has already started, and will rapidly expand, a full and complete investigation into this matter. Answers will be forthcoming shortly.

Who was it that sent the ISIS Death Squad to the consulate in Istanbul? It could have been none other than the King of ISIS.

and there it is:

"It's a big step. It's a lot of people involved," Trump said while speaking at a roundtable with major defense contractors in Arizona.

Asked if he finds the Saudi explanation credible, Trump responded, "I do," adding that he doesn't think the kingdom's leadership lied to him about Khashoggi's fate.

"Again, it’s early," he continued. "We haven’t finished our review or investigation. But I think it’s a very important first step and it happened sooner than people thought it would happen."

complete with the idiot puppet claiming Saudis moving faster than expected... really?

Very noble:

http://www...son-condolences-turkey-killing

The Saudi crown prince Mohammed bin Salman has called the son of Jamal Khashoggi to express condolences on the death of the journalist, who was killed at the Saudi consulate in Istanbul in disputed circumstances.

King Salman made a similar condolence call, the kingdom said early on Monday, as international pressure on the Saudis to provide an satisfactory account of what happened to Khashoggi continued to rise.
