ford projects losses from tariffs of $1 billion over 2018 to 2019

steelmaker nucor would likely give similar $1 billion neighborhood increase.. us government is collecting taxes on any steel or aluminum still being imported.. etc

.....

"Trump’s tariffs against China are hurting U.S. tech companies instead"

from that linked article "Instead, the moves are hurting U.S. companies, which see the tariffs as additional taxes on goods and not doing anything to alleviate the real core problem."..

god forbid any company would partly end up paying for taxes to us government.. especially from part of business giving jobs to china

WD is such a Putin fluffer that has advocating for American protectionism?

Anyway, the party that simultaneously wants high paying jobs for low skilled workers and free trade with bad boy actors probably doesn't have a great grasp on economics either.

"WD is such a Putin fluffer that has advocating for American protectionism?"

You forgot to leave character there...

But yes, continuous support of the failure in the oval office degrades the US and furthers the Putin plan of Russian dominance over the world. It ain't exactly difficult to logic through why Russian trolls would continue to support the candidate they put in office.

Oh the same advocation of "protectionism" that has to utilize welfare policies to help sustain businesses, good call.

Hood,

We're such a failure at checking Russia that military spending is up to almost a trillion and the administration's sanctions have sent the ruble tumbling. Even if you dont think that's the work of Trump himself, the Russians seem to be getting a poor return on their alleged investment.

As for China, trade disputes were simply a matter of time. Pretty much everyone agrees that China is a fucking dick.

Trump has never advocated for any action against Russia, and slow walked or opposed what Congress acted on

Also recall him advocating for Russia to be back in the G7, as well as his pathetic display at Helsinki. He is totally on their side.

Plus Putin wants to spread division in the US... Trump does it daily, there is no doubt they are thrilled with having the idiot at the helm, who is only forced into any actions that are bad for Russia.

Clearly you're mistaken if you think that having a minimum wage increase to mitigate cost of living is considered "high paying jobs."

"free trade with 'bad actors.' Oh please, do continue with your insight.

The problem is people's ideas of what constitutes a living wage.

People don't need a new iPhone every year to survive, as an example.

If the person can survive on minimum wage, then minimum wage has accomplished what it should accomplish!
