Lyin ted is such a shitty candidate he almost lost to a dem in TEXAS.

Everything appears to be as forecast though. In a decent sized rebuke to trump, dems take the house, but gop keeps the senate.

Saw this headline in passing but I'm not going to post the article because I'm going to bed.

Dems are picking up some house seats that they aren't supposed to be picking up. Steve KKKing is down right now but not called, the NY Staten island seat went dem, they picked up Yoder's Kansas seat that they have been trying to get forever and most interesting of all they picked up Oklahoma 5th which was completely off the radar.

Damn it, I bet 218-230, they are probably going to get more. But my individual house bets may get me a small gain. Need Will Turd to lose.

those felons might have been enough to stop Ron 'clearly corrupt just by looking at him' DeSantis and Rick 'the weird bald alien' Scott

What are you looking at? Both florida gop candidates are pretty clear winners at this point

NJ flipped 3 seats to Dem and one other seat is within 2300 votes (they will have to do a recount). That small margin is what is holding NJ from being a 100% Democratic congressional delegation.

vox's attempt at calculating effect..

"Had all ex-felons been eligible to vote in Florida in 2016, we estimate that this would have generated about 102,000 additional votes for Democrats and about 54,000 additional votes for Republicans, with about an additional 40,000 votes that could be cast on behalf of either party."

[maybe vox writers could be sneaky trying to convince republicans to accept.. but i'll assume good faith attempt here]

DemocRats can't even win against the dead.

Dead Brothel Honcho Wins Nevada Election

Voters in Nevada just elected a dead pimp to the State Assembly, sort of ... voting in Dennis Hof only 3 weeks after the famous brothel owner died at one his whorehouses.

Dennis was still on the ballot as a Republican candidate for the Nevada state legislature, despite being found dead Oct. 16 at his famed Love Ranch in Crystal, Nevada ... and he beat out Democratic opponent Lesia Romanov in a landslide.

Polling places posted signs alerting voters to Hof's death, but that didn't stop them from voting for the man who made a living running sex ranches.

During his campaign, Dennis nicknamed himself the "Trump from Pahrump," in reference to the town where he lived in Nevada ... and he got over 60 percent of the vote in the heavily Republican district he was favored to win.

Because a dead man won the election, the seat is still considered vacant and will be filled by the county commissioners, who will select a fellow Republican who resides in the district to serve Dennis' 2-year term.

What a boring election night thread. I’m glad I spent it boozing it up and ignoring the results.

the leads seem to be

Rick Scott ~34,000
Ron DeSantis ~58,000

so... bring on the felons!

(although Rs will continue to mysteriously win by tiny margins probably)

So... most felons are democrats?

don't we assume that here? :p

the Vox calculations above give ~50k more to Dems so could've made the difference

The upstate Maine 2nd will probably go Dem as while the Repub has a small lead they are under 50% and Maine just inatitues rank choice voting. The two independent candidates got something like 8% combined and both supposedly said they would support the D over the R in the debates.
