Population 20,000. Unfortunately a town populated by legal citizens:(

Glowing brightly on satellite data now...

Mass death is probable, though strongly biased towards the immobile and incompetant.

tw, Forest Management would like nothing more than to clear the dry brush from those forests.

However, the Sierra Club, et al has filed a lawsuit that put a stop to that.

Btw, here's a tiny little hint...

Most of what gets proposed involves far more than "cleaning up" underbrush acting as potential fuel load.

On the bright side, forest fires certainly do increase local humidity (the same thing dumping water on fires does, except with the big combustion byproduct H20).

If what I posted doesn't give you enough to go on to actually discuss the realities of this topic, then it's as I thought. You know nothing about the topic and actually don't want to know anything. You just want to parrot shit other people say that fits your agenda.

When you're ready to actually learn something about this, let me know.

Or you could educate yourself by reading the academic literature that's freely available regarding fuel load reduction efforts near (and some distance from) human-wilderness interfaces. You could learn about the possible benefits to humans, but also the consequences to ecosystems, some of the myths about touted benefits (e.g. reduction in suppression expenditures), and other alternatives that should go into a comprehensive, site-specific plan to shift expenditures from reaction and suppression to reduction in severity and damage.

But hey, like I said, you're not actually interested in learning anything that doesn't fit into your delusional agenda.

woo, don't you know that plagiarism is a crime?

Do you think the tree huggers care anything about that? All they care about is building a pristine ecological environment in our cities. The only problem is to do that they have to eliminate the cities.

I have been watching them for decades and I have come to the conclusion that they just don't like humans. In other words, themselves.

BTW, the only 'human-wilderness interfaces' you will find is in cities and towns surrounded by farmland. The towns that are built in the middle of the forests become a part of the forest because that is what makes them *quaint*.

Maybe California could employ the thousands of refugees that are marching to the USA. They could clean up the forest and keep it safe. They could also build houses in the forest and live there. And then, if there is a fire they can then put it out very fast.
Wrath of Orion

Mon Nov 12 11:17:45
Well shit, if they want to be close to wilderness, they apparently don't need to build homes abutting a forest. They can just build them surrounded by farms, at least according to Retard Rod...

"BTW, the only 'human-wilderness interfaces' you will find is in cities and towns surrounded by farmland."

All of a sudden he almost ran over an old lady in her wheelchair holding her dog and just trucking along.
