If what I posted doesn't give you enough to go on to actually discuss the realities of this topic, then it's as I thought. You know nothing about the topic and actually don't want to know anything. You just want to parrot shit other people say that fits your agenda.

When you're ready to actually learn something about this, let me know.

Or you could educate yourself by reading the academic literature that's freely available regarding fuel load reduction efforts near (and some distance from) human-wilderness interfaces. You could learn about the possible benefits to humans, but also the consequences to ecosystems, some of the myths about touted benefits (e.g. reduction in suppression expenditures), and other alternatives that should go into a comprehensive, site-specific plan to shift expenditures from reaction and suppression to reduction in severity and damage.

But hey, like I said, you're not actually interested in learning anything that doesn't fit into your delusional agenda.

Do you think the tree huggers care anything about that? All they care about is building a pristine ecological environment in our cities. The only problem is to do that they have to eliminate the cities.

I have been watching them for decades and I have come to the conclusion that they just don't like humans. In other words, themselves.

BTW, the only 'human-wilderness interfaces' you will find is in cities and towns surrounded by farmland. The towns that are built in the middle of the forests become a part of the forest because that is what makes them *quaint*.

Maybe California could employ the thousands of refugees that are marching to the USA. They could clean up the forest and keep it safe. They could also build houses in the forest and live there. And then, if there is a fire they can then put it out very fast.
Wrath of Orion

Well shit, if they want to be close to wilderness, they apparently don't need to build homes abutting a forest. They can just build them surrounded by farms, at least according to Retard Rod...

Raking the forests!

Trump said Saturday in northern California that wildfires weren’t a problem in Finland because the Finns “spend a lot of time on raking” leaves and “cleaning and doing things.”

What world are you living sonny?

Obviously, you did not ask Cam, did you?

Thought not.

He and I went around and around one time about when to use the apostrophe in a word. The obvious way is to use it to fill in for a missing letter, obvious because that is a correct way.

Where I made my error was using it in a word such as 'its' when no apostrophe was supposed to be there.

I had been using it wrong all of my life. When you do something, that you absolutely believe is correct, for 70 years it is not easy to be taught that you are wrong and that something else is correct.

"An equally common mistake is to use it's for the possessive, probably because ordinary possessives of nouns are formed with an apostrophe: the dog's coat; Mary's cell phone."

If you can't understand that kind of belief in the way one has done something all of ones life and they absolutely believe that is the right way of doing it, then you are nothing but a bully or you have no way of knowing the correct of expressing yourself.

Anyway, Cam and I went around and around about that apostrophe. He finally convinced me.

We had a pretty extensive forest fire in Sweden this summer. 25000 hectare was burning. Not sure why no one died. We haven’t been raking our forests (what I know of) so it can’t be that.

I think maybe it is a combination of that 1) people actually evacuated, and 2) people evacuated in time.

If you choose to stay in the area and refuse to evacuate, or if you are not being warned in time, of course people are going to die.

Oh yeah... and the earth was very dry summer. We had almost no rain at throughout june, july and august. The land, the trees, the bushes, the grass and everyhing was very dry.

If it had rained more then I don’t think the fire would have spread so fast.

"But nah, climate-change doesn't exist and if it does it's small, and if it's not small, it doesn't affect me, and if it affects me, it doesn't affect me enough, and if it affects me enough, it's only for a short amount of time anyways because I'm about to die anyways."
