Five medical workers injured in attack on Specialized Surgery Centre in Benghazi

Five medical workers at the Specialized Surgery Centre in Benghazi have been reported injured after gunmen attacked the centre on Wednesday and stole equipment and personal belongings of the staff.

The Media Office of the centre clarified on Facebook that the gunmen assaulted the medical staff in the operation room and the intensive care unit. They also threatened the centre's management and attacked the hospitalization section for men.

The city of Benghazi has been witnessing for a while, a breakdown of security and a state of anarchy, including attacks on government institutions, private organizations, and extrajudicial killings.
