Sarah Sanders:

“Today, the court made it clear that there is no absolute First Amendment right to access the White House. In response to the Court, we will temporarily reinstate the reporter’s hard pass. We will also further develop rules and processes to ensure fair and orderly press conferences in the future. There must be decorum at the White House.”

-------

as usual, treating their loss as a win... plus lying: judge made no first amendment ruling... & you'd have no idea judge ordered his pass returned

also 'decorum'?... right...

another unacceptable bullshit statement from this disgusting White House

also is kinda like the midterms:
"I thought it was a very close to complete victory"

The judge did say CNN was likely to succeed based on 5th amendment.

So basically the White House has to come up with a policy for when to revoke a hard pass.

I understood "in response to the court" to mean the court told them to give the pass back so they did.

They did spin this as favorably as they could but that isn't exclusive to this administration.

Going to be interesting to see the new rules and processes that they are going to put in place.

"You have to give a civilian due process to tell them why they can't enter the WH and give them a chance to fight it because they work for a news organization"

Time to start lynching judges

Straight from the lawsuit:

"In this regard, President Trump and his administration have been especially focused on CNN and Acosta. At a news conference on January 11, 2017, for example, when Acosta was attempting to ask then-President-elect Trump a question, Trump told Acosta, “your organization
is terrible” and “you are fake news.” Ex. 3; Acosta Decl. ¶ 11; Compl. ¶ 27. Just a few weeks after he was inaugurated in 2017, President Trump tweeted that CNN was “the enemy of the American People.” Ex. 6; Compl. ¶ 29. A few months later, President Trump tweeted a video depicting him tackling and punching a man with a CNN logo superimposed on his face, noting
“#FraudNewsCNN” and “#FNN” in the tweet. Ex. 7; Compl. ¶ 28; see also Ex. 8 (“While in the Philippines I was forced to watch @CNN, which I have not done in months, and again realized how bad, and FAKE, it is. Loser!”); Ex. 9 (“[W]e should boycott Fake News CNN. Dealing with them is a total waste of time!”); Compl. ¶¶ 28-29. A few weeks later, he described one CNN journalist as “the dumbest man on television,” Ex 13; Compl. ¶ 28; see also Ex. 14; Acosta Decl. ¶ 11."

I friggen' love this timeline.

Lou Dobbs attacks Trump's choice of judges

"Outrageously puerile reasoning and ruling: Our district courts are filled with farcical excuses for judges: Judge orders White House to return press pass to CNN's Jim Acosta"

"Going to be interesting to see the new rules and processes that they are going to put in place."

Whatever they think they can get away with that gets them as close to, "If you're not going to report favorably for us, don't bother," as possible.

Trump will have the microphone sticking out of his fly. Reporters will kneel to ask questions. Decorum.

i predict Sarah will walk out of the next briefing

Trump has suggested they would just leave, but most likely he'll order she does it at any slight opportunity... a stunt like when Pence went to a football game just to walk out when players knelt

Dana Perino said when people would piss her off she and her staff would ignore the person acting as if they were not even in the room for a period of time.

I'm still guessing it will be a while before any CNN reporter gets called on to ask a question.

a safe bet this admin will be more petty and childish than Perino (or anyone ever) so we can expect more than ignoring

here are the WH soup nazi-ish rules:

--------

1. A journalist called upon to ask a question will ask a single question and then will yield the floor to other journalists;

2. At the discretion of the President or other White House official taking questions, a follow-up question or questions may be permitted; and where a follow up has been allowed and asked, the questioner will then yield the floor;

3. "Yielding the floor" includes, when applicable, physically surrendering the microphone to White House staff for use by the next questioner;

4. Failure to abide by any of rules 1-3 may result in suspension or revocation of the journalist's hard pass.

----------

so when they duck your question as they always do, tough luck... NEXT!

Time for the Journalist to start working like a team. Maybe take turns asking the hard questions and then the follow up with another follow up.

Keep in mind, Acosta was grandstanding and making an ass out of himself while trying to get a soundbite.

So, fuck em.
