The Trump gov't put out a call, asking legal immigrants to sponsor some of the 1,000's of kids in cages. Desperate to help, 170 kind ppl stepped up, hoping to finally free the kid from captivity.

Turns out, it was a sting operation. Then came the arrests.

Well, obviously those people that got caught weren't legal immigrants. And would you rather they let those children go with strangers without doing background checks? What if those children got raped by a pedophile stranger posing as someone who just wants to help?

Of the 170 arrested 61 had criminal records. The government should have been making damn sure who these people were before children were turned over to them the entire time.

Yeah, so what has a point. You can’t just hand out the children to anyone.

But if the children are living in cages that is a form of abuse by itself.

The children should be returned to their parents and families.

I don’t know what kind of guards Trump has deployed to guard the children, but if anyone of them are like the guards of Abu Ghraib then the children are probably being sodomised as we speak.

I love how whenever children become involved in an immigration issue we're supposed to completely disregard all of our laws and enforcement of the border.

ICE asked people to sponsor illegal minors. A bunch of people responded and were subjected to a background check, in the course of which they were also found to be illegal. Since they do not belong in the the US, they were arrested as a result. End of story.

And rather than congratulating ICE for complying with and enforcing the laws of this country, we get this idiocy:

"Bills have been introduced in the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives that would prohibit ICE from using the information obtained via sponsor background checks for the purposes of immigration enforcement.

Sen. Kamala Harris, D-Calif., who introduced the Senate bill, criticized the arrests on Twitter.

"A natural consequence of these arrests is that these children have nowhere to go," she tweeted Tuesday afternoon."

Anyone that tries to claim that "Democrats operate on logic" is full of shit. On everything from gun control to border security, Democratic arguments are based purely on emotionally-based tripe like "think of the children!" rather than on any coherent and rational analysis. Ridiculous.
