Utopia Talk / Politics / The Republican 115th Congress

Well, its official. This Congress was a complete and unmitigated distaster.

House and Senate Republicans, bogged down by their own incompetence and the mistaken assumption that opposing our president would score them brownie points, managed to waste the best opportunity in a decade to advance a conservative agenda. Two full years of opportunity just completely down the drain. These self-sabotaging jerk offs are going to go down in history as the biggest fuck ups in at least a century, and they 100% deserve it.

Among other things, these fools:

* Failed to pass entitlement reform

* Failed to pass ACA repeal (BIH McStain)

* Failed to support border security and the wall, which was only one of the president's SIGNATURE POLICY ISSUES during the campaign

* Failed to support the president's tariffs at any level (again, good job on cutting off your nose to spite your face, morons)

* Passed a retarded tax cut that benefitted no one besides their rich donors while simultaneously exploding the deficit

* Failed to defund Planned Parenthood

* Failed to crack down on sanctuary cities, or illegal immigrants at all for that matter

* Failed to even pretend to care about fiscal responsibility or federalism

* Failed to disband the Department of Education and other unnecessary agencies

* Failed to pass welfare reform (they openly let Schumer walk all over them on that one)

* Failed to so anything to stop the mass suppression of conservative voices by social media giants

*Passed a series of what may be the single most irresponsible and gratuitous expenditure increases in a generation, after spending years railing on Obama for his budget deficits (theres still no money available for a wall though, right? Fucking scumbags)

Literally the only positive outcome of this Congress was that they made some progress in reducing the destructive influence of leftists in the judiciary and maintaining the conservstive-lite nature of the Supreme Court. Even there though, Republicans like Jeff Flake have done their best to sabotage the process, because he apparently believes that tanking the conservative agenda is going to help him with a 2020 run (have fun explaining that one during primary season, retard).

Kudos to President Trump for doing what hes been able to from the executive office, and we're going to need him more than ever going forward. The same however can not be said of the GOP swamp rats in Congress. Every anti-Trump Republican who lost his seat deserved it, and that hack fraud Paul Ryan in particular should be barred from political office for life.

Time for Republicans to fall in line. The days of trying to suck up to CNN and WaPo or screaming Chicken Little over Russia should be over. The GOP needs to learn to support our president for the next six years if they want any hope of continuing to hold power.

"* Failed to so anything to stop the mass suppression of conservative voices by social media giants"

This should read:
"Failed to suppress first amendment rights of corporations."

"* Failed to support the president's tariffs at any level (again, good job on cutting off your nose to spite your face, morons)"

You mean the things tanking the economy, stock market, people's investments, and providing no benefit to a massive majority of Americans? Yeah, those horrible people.

Hood,

I see. So your phone service carrier should be able to cut off your service if they dont like your political beliefs?

Framing internet posts as the speech of the hosting company requires is ridiculous and would destroy the internet as we know it.

As for tariffs...we've long needed to protect American jobs from Chinese abusive practices and disruptive technology. I applaud Trump's long term outlook on this front

I was thinking "weak troll attempt", but opted for faith in mankind in the blazing light of the New Year.

Your posts cannot be anything other than a tribute in the light of my seasonal good-will.

Legally? Yeah. If being gay is enough for a business to be able to deny baking you a wedding cake, a business should have the freedom of association for a myriad of reasons.

Or, conversely, if a business thinks your crazy rhetoric has gone past the line of reason, they should have the ability to decide they do not want to do business with you anymore.

Shit, fatfingered.

"Framing internet posts as the speech of the hosting company requires is ridiculous and would destroy the internet as we know it."

Speech? Bro, the first amendment is much more than free speech. See above post about freedom of association.

LOL, Rugian expected competence from the Republican Congress. They have had 8 years to repeal and replace the ACA. They haven't even written a reminder note about a replacement for the ACA.
They have been trying for 25 years and counting to put the Clintons behind bars. The results have been................
