Get triggered, post an angry scathing tweet and maybe they will still let the Eagles identify as world champions.

Rugian, ain't nobody in New England been able to stop me :)
My wife is the Patriots fan in this house. She even puts up a Patriots tree decorated with all Patriots ornaments and lights. Poor woman has only been a football fan since the Belichick era.

I've been an Eagles fan since I was old enough to know what football was. Had a distant cousin that used to play for them Bucko Killroy. I'm not about to change teams at 75.

I admire the Patriots as I have admired other great teams. If you are a football fan you have to recognize a great organization and great players.

I was a Philadelphia sports fan. Loved the 'A's until they left. Used to go to see the Flyers before they started selling out the Spectrum.
Watched Wilt Chamberlain in HS.
My uncle was one of the 'Mighty Mites' of Saint Joe's that won the National Championship in 39. he also coached North Catholic HS to a city championship.
But mostly I was a race fan. Saw my 1st NASCAR race at Langhorne Speedway in 49 and was hooked. Love dirt track racing.

But this year I'm saying Go Pat's. They will win with their running game.

I ever live to again see the Miami Dolphins even make it to the AFC Championship game, I'll be amazed.

Go Pats - just because it's funny how dominate old man Brady's teams are still being. He's my age for god sake!!!

Legendary quarterback George Blanda played in the NFL from 1948 until 1976, when he was 48. He played for 26 seasons, a record. And until 2000, he held the record of most points scored in a career, with 2,002.

Brady could have a number of years ahead of him with the backing of great teams.

That's true TJ, I remember when Blanda had to step in as QB for the Raiders when Daryle Lamonica got hurt. I think he was in his early 40's then. I used to follow the Raiders then because a guy I went to HS with Harry Shue played for them.

Tom:

You have a lot of connections with pro-players. I had only one. I was a defensive linebacker in HS and played against Roger Wehrli in my Junior year where he caused me to brake my left leg. I hopped off the field. He was a locomotive high stepper and difficult to take down. Roger was drafted into the NFL by the Cardinals in 1969 and spent his entire 14 year career with them. I was never able to even the score..., chuckle. I'll use his quote: I've been knocked around, but no one has ever run over me. :)

Harry Schuh was a full back in HS. A 260 lb. + full back. Amazingly fast for his size. He went to Memphis State and was a 2 time All American. Had his picture on the cover of Playboy with a playmate on each shoulder. He was an All Pro RT for the Raiders. passed away in 2013.

I dont know what team to cheer for. Pats are too good, now do you wish more success to that outfit? They might be the greatest franchise in any big north American sport, ever. And I dont know anything about the stupid Rams. I hope one teams falls behind, by a lot, and then comes back

So Tom Brady has been intercepted on 100% of his passes so far. I'm liking it.

Conference games were far more entertaining and there hasn't been a single good commercial yet. So far this is shaping up to be another Super Bowl that shits the bed.

Brady looks old and confused. Goff looks young and confused. Edelman appears to have smuggled a bear in under his chin strap.

The Bud light corn syrup saga was decent. Everything else, including the game, has been bad.

"Decent" is being generous.

The NFL commercials (one run during the kickoff show with Manning and Malkovich and the other they just ran before the halftime show started) are by far the best things about the entire debacle so far.

the Rams should try moving the ball 10+ yards in 3 or fewer consecutive plays

I liked the Bud Light ads, they had the Game of Thrones crossover ad too

Shit commercials and game. Even the Dude couldn't rescue this. Not to mention the worse-than-usual halftime show (which are always bad anyway, but damn).

God damn Brady is impressive, even in a terrible game he is already to string together a scoring drive with relatively moderate talent and size.

"@Bud Light, America’s corn farmers are disappointed in you. Our office is right down the road! We would love to discuss with you the many benefits of corn! Thanks Miller Light and Coors Lite for supporting our industry."

"Anheuser-Busch fully supports corn growers and will continue to invest in the corn industry. Bud Light's Super Bowl commercials are only meant to point out a key difference in Bud Light from some other light beers. This effort is to provide consumers transparency and elevate the beer category."

Nothing any of those swill-makers do elevates the beer industry. It's hilarious seeing those commercials, since all of those domestic, ultra mass-produced lagers are the same - pure shit.

Some of you may be blind.
That was an amazing display of defense in one game.
When you can shut down two of the highest scoring teams in the game today to a total of 16 points is simply amazing.

The Patriots defensive secondary was amazing.

"That was an amazing display of defense in one game."

No, it really wasn't. I spent my entire season watching the best defensive team in the league. Neither team played amazing defense. Both offenses sucked, outside of Edelman. Game was shit.

sloppy game, not much excitement. We really got spoiled by all the exciting SBs lately, great comebacks and all. It used to be almost a rule that SB was shit. NFC and AFC title games were almost always great and SB was regularly bad, mostly blowouts. It is only last decade, maybe a bit longer, that it changed and became mostly good.

Saints vs Patriots would've been way better. Goff is just not a good QB. Patriots took away the run game and Gurley must've been injured. So it was the Goff show and he was exposed. Yeah the O-line sucked but it was painful to see him run out of the pocket and get smashed in the face instead of throwing the goddamn ball out of bounds.

Goff definitely played like shit. Made a mediocre-but-above-average pats D look "great" to some people...

Brady also sucked for 3.5 quarters. Michel and Burkehead carried that offense until Brady put together 1 good drive (the TD). I'd probably have gone joint mvp to the rbs, but Edelman was also deserving.

Brady did go 21/35 with one interception on pass attempts...that's more lackluster than terrible. Was Belichick super afraid on the Rams defensive backs or something?
Rugian

And yeah Goff just flat out sucked.

Brady's scheme lends itself to a decent completion percentage no matter how good or bad he plays. High percentage crossing routes, dump offs to the backs, all make the completions look good. We can certainly say that terrible for Tom Brady looks pedestrian to average for a normal QB, though.

brady's performance isn't about his numbers, it is about how he looked and how some of his throws were so embarrassingly weak. one missed pass was pretty much a 5 yard shot and he under threw it, that isn't Brady from last year, that is age hitting him. Hopefully he retires and doesn't go another season or two with diminishing returns.

Goff was bad but really if you get sacked multiple times you probably get shaken and your ability probably drains.

Experience over inexperience under pressure in a Super Bowl.

Belichick-had six super bowl rings.
Brady-had five super bowl rings.

Rams-2 year coach with and a third season QB.

Both teams, it seems, focused their preparation on defense and it resulted in a defensive game.

Guess the odds to win under Super Bowl pressure?

You can play down the inexperience, but it was clearly notable. Brady's aging or just a bad night remains to be seen.

Pats defense especially the d-line played great. DVOA has it as one of the best defensive performances ever in the superbowl. The rams oline was blown out of this word the entire game despite a bunch of holding allowed. They were completely confused by the pats overloads and often got blown up in simple 1 on 1s too. Brady, our 2 and 3 wrs, and james white had pretty mediocre days but it was enough with the defense kicking ass like that.

Gilmore and the rest of the D backs had a pretty damned good day also.

Honestly the defense should have won MVP, but it's hard to pick just one guy to give the award to. Gilmore maybe, but the line was fantastic. Van Noy played a strong game too.
