But he delayed modern treatment and sought alternative medicines which, suprise, did jack shit. It's conceiveable that he might have lived if he relied on "modern medicine" from the start. Why don't you stop embarrassing yourself?

Stages 0-III would be localized cancers of almost all types ("almost all" because some cancers can be stage III but will have spread, though pancreatic cancer is not one of these — at least by Overall Stage Grouping, not by TNM). Stage IV cancer would be cancers that have spread to other organs/tissues, so pancreatic cancer would not be alone in being a cancer which "isn't isolated to one organ" (i.e., any stage IV cancer would fit this description). But it's right that it's in a bad spot, being near the liver and intestines. And it's one of the worst because it is (typically) diagnosed late, so even though it's *not* a particularly fast-spreading cancer, it's usually found too late for most options to be effective.
